My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

My practice philosophy has not changed in my years of practicing internal medicine and geriatrics in Martin County. I offer my patients more personalized care, and through the annual MDVIP Wellness Program’s advanced screenings and tests, I can help better identify markers for possible diseases earlier. I also offer my patients care for acute and chronic medical problems, including attending to them at Cleveland Clinic Martin North and South Hospitals.

Since I have practiced medicine in Martin County for over 40 years, I have relationships with specialists in the area. Similar to conveniences often associated with concierge medicine practices, I also offer same- or next-day appointments with little to no wait.

Aside from a thorough annual physical, he has us back to the office every 3-4 months to see if there have been any changes in our health status. While this may seem a bit excessive, he practices preventive medicine. If you catch a… See more

from Diane in FL February 2, 2024 for Michael R. Gilels, MD

Before I started going to Dr. Gilels, I would go to my previous doctor, go once a year and for about 5 years he would call, ask if I was taking calcium pills because my calcium was high. Each time I said “No” and that was that. “See you next year”.

The very first appt with Dr. Gilels he took blood tests and my calcium was high. He doesn’t let anything go by and investigates… See more
