About Rahil A. Bandukwala, DO, ECNU
My goal as an MDVIP-affiliated physician is to bring the doctor-patient relationship to the front and center of the personalized medical care I provide. With my board certifications in endocrinology as well as internal medicine and nearly 25 years of clinical practice, I am here to support you as you pursue overall wellness and navigate complex medical conditions. I can help as you pursue disease prevention, and one tool we can use is the annual MDVIP Wellness Program that I offer.
Additional interests I bring to my practice include men’s health, women’s health, thyroid issues and diabetes.
I am on the medical staff of MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center in Laguna Hills and Providence Mission Hospital Mission Viejo in California. I have practice locations in Laguna Hills and San Clemente, California. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. I also offer conveniences like same- or next-day appointments with minimal waiting.

Frequently Asked Questions
MDVIP-affiliated physicians use the Wellness Program Plus to help prevent little things from becoming big things – working to help patients enjoy life and be healthier. Those who value their health will appreciate having a closer doctor-patient relationship. Because MDVIP-affiliated physicians have smaller practices, they have more time for you, so you can receive the individualized care and service you deserve. Physicians offering the Plus program have a different set of testing to choose from than physicians in the traditional program; this testing looks at additional health risks. Plus doctors also use an advanced cognitive testing system to evaluate brain health and offer a medication review program.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
