Hometown Physician Returns to His Roots to Deliver Personalized Primary Care in Macon, Georgia

MACON, Ga. — June 30, 2026 — Dr. Jeremiah McClure, a board-certified internal medicine physician with deep roots in Middle Georgia, is joining MDVIP to bring a new standard of personalized healthcare to the Macon community. As a Macon native, he wants to give back to the community that he grew up in by helping make it easier for residents to be healthy.

Dr. McClure will be serving patients from his office at 6501 Peake Road, Suite 100, in Macon.

Making Macon Healthy

Dr. McClure isn't shy about the challenge ahead. Bibb County residents have among the lowest health outcomes in the state. As the county ranked No. 129 of Georgia's 159 counties for health outcomes, it sits firmly in the lowest quartile.

For Dr. McClure, medicine was the only path for him. Raised by a nurse mother and a veteran father, he was taught to serve others. But like many doctors, he's felt the weight of a system that doesn't always put patients first.

"It gets to a point where insurance companies aren't reimbursing the way they should -  they don't hold their promise," says Dr. McClure. "I became a doctor to serve people, and I needed a model that would let me do that without compromise."

MDVIP gives Dr. McClure the opposite of what traditional medicine has become: time, tools, and trust.

"Most doctors probably don't realize they're operating with a quarter of a toolkit," he adds. "With MDVIP, I have the full toolkit, from Cleveland Heart Labs to advanced screenings, and so much more. It's the difference between checking boxes and actually changing lives."

Doctors who operate in the MDVIP model typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can't, including same- and next-day appointments, availability after hours for urgent matters, and the time needed to focus on prevention.
