Physician Who Left Corporate America to Pursue Medicine Brings Renewed Passion for Patient Care with MDVIP
BEL AIR, Md. — June 30, 2026 — MDVIP is excited to welcome Dr. Michael Giordano to its network of physicians to make preventive medicine more achievable. As a Hartford County native, Dr. Giordano is now accepting new patients at his office at 615 W Macphail Road, Suite 106, in Bel Air, Maryland.
Choosing the Path of Medicine
Dr. Giordano didn't take the traditional route to becoming a physician. Before medical school, he built a career in corporate America, and despite professional success, he found himself searching for deeper purpose and fulfillment. That search led him to medicine.
Walking away from the corporate world to practice medicine was a huge shift, but with it came the ability to fill his days with helping people, not just hitting benchmarks.
"I became a primary care physician because I want to take care of others and practicing medicine is the ultimate way to do that," Dr. Giordano says. “Getting to nurture relationships with my patients over the course of many years and seeing their health improve across generations is probably the most rewarding feeling I can imagine.”
Why MDVIP Changes Everything
Just like so many dedicated physicians, Dr. Giordano has run into the systemic challenges that plague primary care to this day: shrinking appointment times, growing administrative burdens, and an insurance-driven model that often prioritizes volume over value. The fulfillment he'd sought when leaving corporate America was being chipped away by a system that didn't let him practice medicine the way he knew it should be practiced.
That’s when MDVIP came in, giving Dr. Giordano the time and resources to become the physician he sought to be.
MDVIP practices are smaller than most primary care practices, which means your doctor has more time to help you. Dr. Giordano can now offer same/next-day appointments, unhurried visits, and after-hours availability by phone. Patients see him, not a rotating cast of providers, which helps him maintain continuity and quality of care.
