My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

I was in grade school when I figured out that I wanted to be a physician and I have truly enjoyed my work for over 25 years now. However, having a life outside of medicine certainly helps me bring a holistic and personalized approach to the care of my patients. For fun, I am an avid reader of history, literature and mystery novels. I compose and perform music and love to participate in triathlons, long distance running and cycling events. These types of challenges have always appealed to me and I really enjoy helping others reach their personal health and fitness goals. I spend more time each day talking to my patients about nutrition than the time I take to sleep at night; there is just so much to share. Exercise and nutrition are part of my life, not just occupational topics.

Although diet and exercise are key components of a healthy life, illnesses will occur. I strive to bring current and comprehensive medical expertise to every interaction. As a board-certified internal medicine physician, I honor my Osteopathic Oath to pursue life-long learning. Whether in the area of prevention, diabetes, hypertension, mental health, pain management, medical acupuncture, manual therapy or medical leadership, I am actively engaged in bringing my patients an updated and integrative knowledge base. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. I have been on the medical staff of Amita Hinsdale and LaGrange Hospitals since 1997 and continue to care for my patients who require hospitalization, nursing home/rehabilitation stays or house calls. Service and responsiveness to patient needs is our top priority.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. DeLorenzo

from John in IL March 18, 2020 for Anthony W. DeLorenzo, DO

I have been a patient of Dr. DeLorenzo for approximately 25 years, and consider him not only as my Primary Physician but a very good friend who has taken care of and brought me through some very difficult health problems over several years. I cannot think of any one with greater concern for his patient's care and well being than Dr. DeLorenzo. Thank you. John P.

Dr. Anthony Delorenzo you have been by our side through thick and thin! Having you as our doctor gives us tremendous piece of mind that is so hard to find. You and your staff are also just a phone call away, and we are always greeted and treated with concern, patience, and respect. You have come to our side when Rich has been in the hospital, advocating for the best of care for him, and… See more

Dr. De Lorenzo has been found to be an historically competent and thorough physician, to be sure. Not only does he truly care
about his patients' health and well being, he also takes pride in doing that which is right. Never rushed
or hurried, he has always devoted himself totally to the patient during examinations. I feel quite secure in
knowing that I am in competent… See more

I have been seeing Dr. DeLorenzo for approximately 10 years. He has always been an exceptional doctor. Since joining MD VIP he now has the time to give me personal health direction and ways to heal .For example I came to him with a depression that was not
treatable by medication and he began treating me with acupuncture. The depression lifted that same day I continue to see him for… See more

I am a singer, but had been bothered by a sore throat that kept on hanging on for a few weeks. I mentioned that to Tony at a regular check-up and he said it sounded like post nasal drip from allergies. I had no previous history of allergies, but he recommended starting on an allergy medicine, to see if that addressed the problem. I was skeptical but I tried it and two weeks later I felt 100… See more

Another doc there was a friend of Dr D and he called him and said a patient of his was at the hospital with a suspected stroke. Dr D had them bring me to LG by ambulance . A midnight Dr D walks into my room to tell me that I did not have a stroke and that we could take care of the… See more

Dr.Tony DeLorenzo is a very kind and caring physician. He is friendly, yet is straightforward when discussing my test results and overall health. Dr. Tony never rushed me out of the office and makes me feel like I am the most important patient in the practice when meeting with me. I would and have recommended Dr. Tony to anyone looking for a highly qualified, caring physician.
