What our members are saying

I was already a patient of Dr. Baskot for about a decade before she joined MDVIP. I felt very honored to be encouraged to join her group, along with my wife, and I am so glad we did. I always felt well-cared for, before, but now I truly appreciate the pace of the consultations and the comprehensive review. I can think of two consultations in particular that really made a big difference to me.…

My experience with Dr. Baskot and MDVIP has greatly exceeded my expectations. Dr. Baskot is an attentive listener, takes a fastidious and proactive approach to care, and follows up promptly to messages and after appointments and tests. Seeking a concierge physician was the best decision for my needs and well worth the fee for a more hands on approach to my care. I would highly recommend Dr. Baskot and MDVIP if you want high touch care and excellent doctors.

Dr. Baskot is amazing! We've been her patients for over 25 years and the continuity of care she and her staff provide has been invaluable. We LOVE the ability to interact with her and her staff by phone or zoom rather than having to come to the office to address the recurrence of chronic conditions. We moved to another county over ten years ago, and the commute to her office takes up most of a day. With MDVIP Concierge Service, we are able to keep her as our primary care physician by making the commute every six months for our annual physical exam and MDVIP wellness exams. We read with great interest the MDVIP health bulletins she sends us. As elderly patients we appreciate the convenience and collaboration she provides. Dr. Baskot has taken us both through life-threatening events and we are most grateful to have her in our lives.

After waiting 6 weeks for a simple annual exam that my insurance plan required..at Holy Cross Medical group with my doctor of 8 years, I looked around for a "concierge" doctor with a smaller patient load. I am paying for quick service and as much time with MY doctor as I need. Very happy with Dr Baskot, she is on top of my situation. We pay lawyers with retainers, we pay extra for the express lanes and now we pay extra for better medical care....than medicare provides. This seems also to be true in Canada and the UK systems. I for one am happy to pay extra for better service for something as important as medical care, especially at my age, 78. Even Germany now has a plan where you can get a private doctor if you earn more and pay more. Being disgusted at paying a retainer fee solves nothing, go elect people that care about us. I can't wait for the politicians to fix the system if/when I get sick.

Called to get an appointment and was told that in order for the office to grant me an "audience" with this "highly exclusive" doctor I must pay $2100 year to a concierge medical plan in addition to my health insurance plan which is one of the best in the country and already costs a small fortune. This is absolutely outrageous!!! She is a basic general practice doctor NOT a leading brain or heart surgeon and even then they should not require $2100 for a consult. on top of the astronomical fees they charge my insurance per visit. Shame on you for making healthcare elitist and discriminatory. Absolutely disgusting to see the practice of this doctor which goes against all physicians ethical principles and the oath all doctors take upon graduation to to treat patients with competence, compassion, and integrity.

Whoever they have answering the phone is rude and lacks good customer service. I asked about scheduling an appointment and for whatever reason she said the office decided to close early so I’d have to call back tomorrow. When I asked for the hours she gave them to me and the second I said thank you I couldn’t even get an another question in before she hung up. Definitely won’t be calling back to schedule anything.

This doctor was set as my pcp through my insurance. When i called to make an appointment they said this doctor is part of a concierge service and if i wanted to see her id have to pay $1800 a year. LOL. That is the most ridiculous thing ive heard, especially for a doctor with this low of a rating. Our healthcare system is just so so messed up!

Even though I make an appointment I still end up waiting 30mins to an hour, I dont know why if sometimes no one is in the facility.
I also feel that I pay to hear the same things I can tell my self or already know. To me this is a waste of my money and I won't go anymore im switching out my doctor cause everytime I tell the doctor about something I feel like the only answer is pills pills pills

Awful. They couldn’t support me at a very fragile time during covid19... The doctor herself is professional, however, The staff is terrible. I had an appointment first thing 8am when they opened on a Monday. (Closed on weekends)
Wednesday of the previous week, I found out my partner was laid off from his job due to covid19. Friday of the previous week, my boss notified me that I’d be moving to a different department instead if a lay off. I try calling doctor baskotts service line and couldn’t connect. So I didn’t leave a voicemail.

Monday comes, I open emails for work very early as I always do. I’m supposed to start training for the new department at 9am. My doc appt was 8am.. I wouldn’t be able to do both. And can’t risk losing my job too.

6am I call Dr baskots office and get their service line, I leave a message asking if I could reschedule my appt. I told her to leave the doctor a message as I couldn’t make it in due to the covid19 circumstances and my new work schedule.

I call again 8am, to make sure the message was taken bc I’ve had problems with their service the week before. Front desk staff said ok.

Next week - I have a charge. $50.... the staff knew Baskot is my primary. I’ve given them business and been a patient for a couple years now. And they couldn’t take care of me ONE TIME DURING SUCH A FRAGILE MOMENT?!?!!!!! I had never missed my appointments.

They lost me. I’m going to another doctor. This office could care less about you. They want the money.

STAY AWAY.

I made an appointment as a new patient, as this office was recommended to me. The appointment was made two weeks prior, I unfortunately thought my appointment was a different day, which yes is my fault. However, everywhere I have every made an appointment for something send you a friendly reminder either via text or phone call the day before your appointment. NOT HERE.

Instead the women calls me 30 minutes after my appointment was supposed to be to tell me I missed my appointment and that I needed to find a new doctors and I was no longer welcome there, because I missed the appointment.

HOW UNPROFESSIONAL and rude. I literally have never heard of such a thing. But if this is "office policy" maybe you should've told me when I made the appointment, that you have 30 minute window after your appointment time to arrive and if you do not show you will not be allowed in the office .......

If this is how they treat their patients before they even walk in the door, I can only imagine how they are treated when they do.

I can't comment on Dr. Baskot ; but if she has employees working for her that speak to people the way the women on the phone did .....

SKIP THIS PLACE AND FIND A DOCTOR ELSEWHERE!

Dr. Baskot has been my PCP for many years and as we all know sometimes we have to wait a few minutes to see the doctor. I've never waited more than 15 minutes. I noticed a review saying that the person had to wait for 40 minutes to see the doctor. I happen to be in Dr. B's office at the time and heard this person abusing the staff about having to wait what had at the time been 10 minutes. NOT nice and using social media as a weapon is totally unacceptable. This is the reason so many people don't like social media and I can understand why when it's used to abuse and mistreat.

Reception: Not very welcoming, while waiting in the patient waiting area I could clearly hear conversations going on between staff members that involved complaining about clients after they got off the phone with them (2 different phone calls I overheard this on). They clearly don't think highly of their patients after the conversations that I heard while in the waiting area. I was surprised that they were having these conversations while a patient (me) was waiting in the waiting area. When scheduling my follow up appointment, I explained to the receptionist that I travel a lot for work so I'd have a specific time frame I'd have to see if they have openings. She sighed and said, "What are you a flight attendant or something?".....wayyyyy out of her lane to be making remarks like that to NEW PATIENTS. lol What a way to keep clients! Not so much.

Services received: I was pleased with the services I received but the Doctor overstepped her boundaries when she started making comments on my profession and other things that in my opinion she had no business doing. I pay you to hear your thoughts/expertise on my health, not on my life....needless to say, I won't ever be going back.
I despise going to the Doctor's office to begin with so I am certainly not going to subject myself to that type of environment if I don't have to.

I have been going to Dr Baskot for 13 years! She is first class and thorough. One time I was in the ER and the ER Dr told me only a handful of Drs will come to the ER to see their patients and she is one of them
And they answer their phones not like everyone else!
I know for a fact that many other Drs come to her. As far as some of those one star reviews they are wrong.

Not the best staff. Extremely scattered. The woman receptionist talks at a speed of 500mph to the point where she sounds like she is having an anxiety attack, and the male sounds like he hates his job and wants you off the phone as fast as possible. Trying to have your paperwork transferred to another doctor turns into a huge ordeal. I had to go back and forth with this office and my new doctor 4 times to get one simple request done because of their lack of communication. Any simple question or request becomes a tribulation and just ends up giving you a migraine. Staff needs proper training on how to properly get things done with patients. Will not be going back.

Amazing doctor! My mom had spent months with a doctor who couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. She became Dr. Baskot's patient and she immediately diagnosed her. Thankfully she is now Dr. Baskot's patient. Dr. Baskot has been an attentive and caring physician from the beginning they met. My mom is SO happy she is now a patient of Dr. Baskot. I would highly recommend her to everyone.

Dr. Baskot is the best doctor I have EVER been to. Originally from Canada, I have been living in the US for 15+ years and have had many Doctors. This doctor is at the top of her profession in terms of knowledge, logical deduction and explanation of conditions to me for my health. I initially went to Dr. Baskot for a check up with my husband. She was very thorough, an ended up finding a lump on my throat....something I never saw even after she showed me. She explained options to me and thank goodness i was convinced to follow her advice because the lump ended up being cancerous....she had a great network and because of her finding this lump early enough, the surgeon was able to spare 1/2 my thyroid. This Doc is #1 for family doctors in North America!

Literally the Worst "doctor" I have ever been to. I just moved here from Boston MA to get a Rash on my leg checked out, and to re-fill a prescription from my previous doctor in Boston. she had NO Idea what she was doing all she did was complain about her computer and then took a look at my rash and was literally "GOOGLE SEARCHING" what the rash was!!!! unbelievable! then she said she didn't believe that I needed pain killers for a herniated disk in my back and she told me she judged me for lifting weights. she said to take Tylenol and I would be fine. gave me a prescription for something on my leg and "see if it helps" and refused to run labs.... I am pissed!

Frequently Asked Questions

Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
