Meet Claudine M. De Dan, MD

My goal as your family physician is to help in your pursuit of maintaining a healthier life. I aim to accomplish this through a focused medical evaluation and offering more personalized care. I find that motivated patients who are given more guidance and information tend to stay more engaged to reach their goals. My plan, as your personal physician, is to help you find the path that can lead toward a healthier lifestyle, utilizing nutrition, physical activity and exercise and more of a work/life balance. I realize that, in our busy lives, it may seem daunting to find time to pursue these goals, but in my practice, we can work as partners to review the steps to help make this a reality.

As the only MDVIP-affiliated female family medicine physician in the Mullica Hill and Gloucester County, New Jersey, I can provide individualized care for you and your family. My practice offers services, including comprehensive advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices.

I have 20 years of experience taking care of a variety of complex medical problems. Many of my patients have multiple diagnoses, such as diabetes, hypertension, heart, kidney or lung disease. I am also very focused on diet and exercise and can help you develop a more personalized weight management program. I am comfortable with all ages of patients, ranging from infants to geriatric care. I also practice women’s health and can provide routine gynecological care. I am well regarded in the area and have received Top Doc recognition by South Jersey magazine for the last four consecutive years. I am honored by the many complimentary online reviews from my patients and am confident that I can provide you with more personalized healthcare that can help your experience.

My staff and I are a cohesive team. Our patients experience a warm welcome and are treated like family when visiting our office.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Three years ago, I became a member of MDVIP and a member of Doctor Claudine De Dan practice. I use member vice patient where i spent most of my life just seeing a doctor for medical treatment.
Doctor De Dan opened up the whole new world of preventative medicine vice waiting for some condition to appear. Her professional and personal demeanor have been excellent. Also. the staff she has around her are extraordinary. Sadly. I am leaving the area; but would highly recommend Doctor De Dan practice to anyone interested in their well-being.

It is supposed to be VIP care, but I don’t feel I get very personalized care. Calls come from the office staff about lab and test results, even when there is an abnormality. Messages about her being away say the office staff can handle everything and get ahold of her and never give a covering physician’s name. When calling to be seen I can get an appointment that day or the next day as per the MDVIP program, but they don’t ask when it would be a best time for me but say they need to check her schedule. Even when just discharged from the hospital and you call the office, the office staff say they will get your records to show her. Even a call from her to follow up post hospitalization would feel more like VIP care. I like the detailed annual physical, Dr. DeDan is excellent going over labs and tests in the office after your annual physical, the office staff are very nice and personable, and I like knowing I can call her cell 24 X 7 if I have to and when I have called she does answer.

When I read about her new practice, I scheduled an appointment to learn more about her association with MDVIP. Her enthusiasm was contagious!
Upon sharing the information with my children, they decided to surprise me with a membership.
Dr. DeDan and her staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
Although I suffer from the infamous "White Coat Syndrome", I find myself much more relaxed in her office. I have never had to wait for an appointment, and never felt rushed during one. She answers all of my questions, addresses any concerns I may have ... and we even have a few laughs along the way!

So I just had a very unique experience when I called her Mullica Hill to check if she was accepting new patients. The receptionist said "yes she is but she is under a different program" and then transferred me to a Ms. Karen who gave me a conflicting answer that they are not accepting new patients. When I mentioned that the other lady had just said otherwise, her response was short "no we are not accepting new patients, thanks". No apologies, no explanation, nothing. If someone like me who has health insurance gets this treatment, I cannot imagine for people who don't.

We first met Dr. De Dan 4 plus years ago and she is by far the best Doctor that I have ever had. The staff greets you when you come in, you have some preliminary tests performed by the staff and then the remaining 90% of the time is spent one-on-one with Dr. De Dan. You actually get doctor time and not like some other practices that I have used where the 90% was with a PA and 5-10% of the time with the Doctor. She is very caring and is always available. I have sent her texts at mid-night and she has responded within 5 minutes. We have reached out to her from out of state for medication refills and handled immediately. We have reached out on week-ends and she is always there for us. I can not give her enough stars in this rating she is definitely a 5+… Thanks for all you do
