Dr. Mire sent me and my wife for a lung CT Scan. My results showed a nodule in one lung. I had a lung biopsy on October 25th at hospital. The pulmonary doctor told me it's no big deal might have a sore throat and back to work the next day. I was feeling the total opposite while in recovery pane on my side and hard time breathing in recovery. They sent me home anyway and told me to call my Dr. Mire if any problems come up. I was hurting really bad and trouble breathing. I called Dr Mire told him about the problem and he told me to get to the ER right away. What we found out later that night a small blood vessel was cut and my lung was punctured. The next day Dr. Mire was at the hospital checking on me making sure everything was good. I had the nodule removed eight days later. Let me tell you Dr Mire was there everyday I was in the hospital. When I went home he called me up to come to his office. Karla Romey People seem to get sick on weekends. This was the case two weeks ago. My wife and I called him up on Sunday evening and told him the systems and prescribed some meds and she was feeling better in two days. We have been seeing Dr Mire for about twenty years. Dr Mire really cares about his patients.

I have been seeing my Doctor for nearly 20 years, I remember the thought that I had the very first time that he walked in to the room. This guy is so young, does High school have a fas tack medical program? He was great, he listened and took the time to evaluate my symptoms. Years later he made the decision to become a MDVIP practice and asked if I would consider it. My trust in him immediately led me to sign up. I feel today that He and MDVIP have saved my life. Meet Geoffrey A. Mire, MD, CMD

My goal is to provide individualized patient focused care in a non-judgmental atmosphere. The foundation to your wellness is based on spending time performing an in-depth interview to learn about your medical history. I will also get to know you by listening to your concerns and goals in life. I am a strong advocate of patient choice and will work to empower my patients to be engaged in their own health care. In many cases, lifestyle changes can be utilized to minimize or eliminate prescription medications. I attempt to lead by example by remaining physically active and following a healthy diet.

I provide a wide spectrum of family medicine care including geriatric care, preventive medicine, minor procedures, sports medicine, general adult medicine as well as common pediatric conditions. I admit my patients to Lafayette General Hospital, round at local nursing homes and perform house calls when necessary.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

Dr. Mire and the MDVIP concept is the best decision I’ve made for myself and my health. He and his staff are awesome to deal with because they are always friendly and happy to help. My emails and any requests I have are promptly taken care of and they always keep me updated. Despite being a 100% combat disabled veteran, I have left the VA Healthcare system because it was virtually impossible to speak to my doctor in between visits and equally as hard if I had any problems or mediacation issues. The MDVIP membership fees are a small price to pay for the easy access and great care Dr Mire and his staff provide me.

Dr. Mire is an excellent doctor he is becoming a member of MDVIP to better serve his patients, if you ask him he can give an explanation about the program. I have been with Dr. Mire since 2005 when I needed a surgeon in 2007 I was still new to Lafayette Dr. Mire chose Dr. Muldowny to performed a very dangerous surgery. When I walked out the hospital the next day my family's mouth dropped I could hold my head up and the pain was gone. In 2008 Dr. Mire pick another surgeon for me, he knocked it out the park again after he referred me to Dr. Gachassin, he has performed 3 surgeries on me. I highly recommend all 3 doctors. I have to say this doctor took really good care of my grandmother. He has great bed side manners and listens well to the person talking. He understands you know your body better than anyone.
