Testimonials from patients of Dr. Jacobs

from Vera in NC March 11, 2020 for James W. Jacobs, MD

I have asthma that occasionally flares to serious levels when I catch a cold or flu. Several years ago, I had such an experience, and as often happens I got worse on a Friday after hours. Dr. Jacobs was readying to travel overseas, to adopt a child that weekend. In spite of his own stresses of international travel, he made sure (on saturday) that I was able to obtain a home nebulizer, and… See more

I was a reluctant MVP convert. It was not my idea to ask Dr. Jacobs to be my doctor. It was a directive from my urologist. He wanted and needed a doctor on my "team" who would help coordinate my care. From my first visit, I knew I had found something better than a "healthy care coordinator." I had found a doctor who took the time to listen. To care. To take into consideration a complex medical… See more

I appreciate your attention to detail and the complete evaluations that you provide on a yearly basis. I was especially impressed with the advice which you gave me regarding an episode of atrial fib on Thanksgiving morning. You were calm and provided good suggestions. One would never have known that it was a holiday in the kind and helpful manner that you spoke with me.

from Dick and Mary in NC March 3, 2020 for James W. Jacobs, MD

Both my husband and I have Dr. Jacobs as our primary physician and we are so thankful every day for the care we receive from him. My husband spent thirty years in the military as a pilot and a yearly physical was a requirement to remain on flight status, yet his military physical was never as comprehensive as the physical that he receives with Dr. Jacobs. Also, Dr. Jacobs helps us understand… See more

James (Jim) Jacobs and his wonderful staff are always available, warm and gracious. It doesn’t matter if I am having a panic moment or simply getting more information about a concern, they respond quickly and with exactly the help I need. It’s been a very rewarding experience to be a patient of Jim’s. I am very grateful for his care and expertise.

Dr. Jacobs and his office....never before has our family felt so SECURE and so well-taken care of. The peace and security that comes from knowing that our doctor KNOWS us and CARES for us never ceases to blow us away. We can call at anytime, from any place, and get the help and answers we need. We travel quite a bit and it has given us all such peace of mind that we can even talk to him or… See more

from James in NC March 22, 2018 for James W. Jacobs, MD

Top notch, and class act are a couple terms for how I would describe Dr. Jacobs. In addition to being a caring doctor and in tune with my health, he has shown his support and interest in my personal endeavors which bring me joy. For example, I write songs as a hobby, and Dr. Jacobs has taken time to listen to my songs, view my music videos, and send congratulatory emails of support. Things… See more

from Hugh in NC March 15, 2018 for James W. Jacobs, MD

The best doctor-patient relationship that I have experienced is the one I have with you. Not only are you professionally competent, you are compassionate. You are an excellent listener and communicator, focusing well on what I say and responding clearly to my queries. Someone said, What you see is what you get. In seeing you, I am getting a friendly physician who is never in a hurry and… See more

Dear Dr. Jacobs,

How fortunate Hugh and I are to have had you as our primary care physician for the past 23 years. You are indeed a Very Important Person in our lives. The fact that we have aged well is due in large part to your excellent care in the area of preventive medicine as well as treatment.
