I am a board-certified internal medicine physician located in Point Pleasant and affiliated with Hackensack University Ocean Medical Center. Throughout my career I have provided time to patients both in office and those hospitalized. I continue to make hospital visits, “rounds,” every day, as I have for 33 years, including holidays. In many ways, the coronavirus pandemic was challenging for all. My office remained opened. My staff was available, constantly vigilant and dedicated to my patients. The thought of closing never entered my mind, as earlier intervention proved to be beneficial. 

COVID-infected patients who got admitted to my hospital service improved and left the hospital. In my office practice, COVID-infected patients were seen day or night and many were given my private cell phone number for their reassurance. I believe my success with COVID and my medical practice over the years is directly related to my personalized care, consistent availability and independent thinking. I am aware that medicine has changed over the past decades but in my reduced practice size as my patient, I believe you deserve the appropriate eye contact and the time to be heard and cared for.
