Contact has been slight, but satisfactory. I have confidence that if contact was necessary it would be prompt and entirely satisfactory.
My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
I grew up in a New York City suburb, became a high school English teacher and loved that, but finally decided to pursue a career in medicine. After graduating from medical school at the University of Vermont, I completed my residency in Connecticut and moved to Maine with my family.
For 15 years I’ve practiced as a board-certified internist. I enjoy taking time to listen to my patients in a calm setting. My patients enjoy the warm, welcoming atmosphere my office provides, and love when I bring my dog, Toby, into the office for visits.
The longer I’ve practiced medicine, the more I’ve found value in focusing on nutrition, exercise and sleep to assist with areas of concern. My preference has always been to limit medications rather than prescribe them. I also prefer to address underlying issues instead of treating symptoms. I use qualifying evidence instead of depending on fads or unsupported theories.
In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, I can partner with my patients to learn from one another. MDVIP offers the resources to allow us to practice medicine this way – the way I feel it should be done.
