About Mark A. Sordi, MD, FAAFP
My passion as a family physician is to provide you personalized healthcare with an emphasis on prevention and wellness. In my MDVIP- affiliated practice, you will be treated as a member of my family in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You will benefit from the full extent of my education, experience and understanding. I am a testicular cancer survivor who has encountered medicine from both sides of the examination table. Enduring surgery and chemotherapy, along with the challenges of the health care system, helps me to be more empathetic to your health concerns. Being able to spend more quality time together attending to your individual medical needs is why I chose this style of practice.
My wife, three teenage daughters and I love this community. We enjoy dining out, relaxing on the beach, riding the bike trails and walking around town together. Those who know me see the importance that family and instruction play in my daily life. Whether it is teaching one daughter to drive or another how to field a bunt, being able to share my knowledge to help them succeed is rewarding. Practicing best medicine includes a partnership between doctor and patient – a relationship based on mutual trust and respect. As an MDVIP-affiliated physician, I have more time to develop close relationships with patients, which allows me to perform more comprehensive exams and be a better diagnostician. Additionally, it provides us an opportunity to devise a treatment plan to achieve your goals. All of this equates to greater outcomes and longer, happier and healthier lives. My MDVIP-affiliated practice, often compared to a concierge medicine practice, also offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments.
With nearly 20 years practicing in Coastal Sussex County, I have well-established connections with many specialists to assist with unique needs. I am a board-certified family physician with interests in sports medicine, diabetes, hypertension and preventive medicine. I am a multiple time recipient of the Delaware Today Top Docs award and currently care for patients from all three counties in Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Reviews from the web

Of course, I pay monthly and the cost has increased, and you can’t receive this type of care for nothing. So I accept the fee! I do hope, though, that the fee does not constantly go up!!!🙏🙏
I would hate to lose Dr Sordi!

Zero stars for the service
I think Dr sordi is the best dr for me. BUT I am no longer after my next payment going to be able to stay with the service. I only make 23,000. Per year. I can not afford this. I have several friends who had this service or still do that are getting out. Its just not affordable in this economy.
PLEASE MAKE THIS MORE AFFORDABLE !!!

Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
