My story is best summarized by the phrase I'm an example of a Conceirge Medicine success story. It's the short version of my answer when asked what is the secret to the successful weight loss I have achieved this past year. I was a patient of Dr. Rayner's for many years, and followed him to his Conceirge practice. Over the years he had spoken with me about the importance of… See more
My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
I have been in the Harrisburg and Central Pennsylvania medical community since 1996, with experience in medical education, as well as private practice. In my private practice, similar to a concierge medicine practice, I enjoy managing the full panel of primary care issues including diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, obesity, anxiety and depression. I put a strong emphasis on prevention and have an approach to healthcare that involves using wise lifestyle decisions, fitness and nutrition when addressing current and future medical needs. Due to my longevity in the area, I have established excellent professional relationships with local specialists with whom I consult when specialty care is needed. I have no direct affiliation with a hospital system; however, if inpatient care is needed, I do work with the hospitalists who care for my patients.

There are not enough kind words or thanks to convey how awesome Dr. Richard Rayner is. He not only provides excellent care but he also shows genuine care and concern for his patients. Im not sure how I would have made it during the passing of my husband without his outstanding care and concern for both my physical and mental health.
Dr. Rayner not only cared for me and my husband but he… See more
When Dr. Rayner first informed me about his intention to move to the new MDVIP program -- and the cost to me -- I was extremely hesitant. I love the guy but, geez, even more money on top of my already astronomical self-employed health insurance, I think not. Ultimately I decided to give it a try for one year. Am I ever glad I did.
I started the program in June 2017. In July my… See more
Thank you, Dr. Rayner. You are the first doctor to actually listen to me. We were able to have a conversation together to figure out my health goals and concerns rather than you telling me what I'm doing wrong. I appreciate your care and concern so much.
I went to Dr Rayner previous to him joining MDVIP. It was suggested by a friend of mine to see him. I have followed him to MDVIP because of his professionalism and manner about him. I have found that other people I am acquainted with and friends with, have also stayed with him in his transition to MDVIP. He is truly a medical professional and caring person.
I feel like I finally have found a Doctor that really cares about my health. All of the people involved that are part of this partnership make me want to take care of myself.
I started seeing Dr. Rayner when he was at the Penn State Office. When my insurance changed I had to find another doctor, much to my dismay. I went to another doctor for about 6 months to a year but as soon as I knew Dr. Rayner opened his own office, I was there. Hopefully, Dr. Rayner will be my doctor until I no longer need a doctor. In my opinion, he is what many other doctors should be… See more

I have been a patient of Dr. Raynor's since 2005. In fall of 2006, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a terrifying time. My only frame of reference to cancers were my mother and brother who were very ill and died from their cancers. A friend had breast cancer a few years earlier, but went through treatment #$& and was a very sick woman. Although not the treating physician for… See more
I became a patient of Dr. Richard Rayner's several years ago. With having several health issues, I was changing doctors more often than I would have liked, and seen many specialist that only bounced me around from place to place. After learning about Aspire Family Medicine and Dr. Rayner, all that confusion ended immediately! Dr. Rayner took the personal time I needed to address my issues… See more
