The desire of my heart is to practice great medicine! That is achieved by the partnering of mutual trust and respect that is earned, not given. As an MDVIP-affiliated physician, I will have more time to devote toward building relationships and research to better serve you. Being your personal physician allows us to work together to formulate and implement a wellness plan that will help you achieve your goals. With nearly 20 years of practicing in this community, I have relationships with specialists here and in other cities. I might be your family medicine doctor, but I also have interests in diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and well child care. Preventive medicine will be key to our long-term success, along with tailoring your needs and education to encourage you to be more vested in your health.
I am board-certified in family medicine and on staff at Cumberland Medical Center. I practice in the Emergency Room both locally and in the surrounding counties. Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

I am absolutely happy with Dr Carlton. I just left CMC ER and she actually had me helping with my diagnoses. She asked me what I thought it could be and I answered funny thing is when she looked at me she said that's exactly what I think it is too. She thoroughly explained my symptoms and diagnosis to me which I understood and was so funny and caring. I don't care much for the hospital here but Dr Carlton has restored my faith in medical humanity.. She's honestly the best here in this town 👍

My doctor is so kind, listens, and is knowledgeable of many phases of health, to include my problems with my diagnosed mental health issues. Diets given for loosing weight have proved to really work. My doctor is just fantastic!!! Office help is the best also!!

Dr. Carlton has exceeded my expectations in that she makes me a participant in my own medical care. She takes an inordinate amount of time being sure that I understand what is best for me . She allows me to follow that plan or go off plan with free will if I so choose. I do try to follow. I left my prior physician because she would not take time to listen. Dr. Carlton is a very good listener and she addresses all of my concerns.

When my wife called her office to try & set up an appointment upon our move from upstate NY, the office person was very accommodating. As she continued talking, my wife realized it was Dr. Carlton she was speaking with. Dr. Carlton was extremely kind & answered all the questions my wife asked. This NEVER happened in NY. We knew we were in the right physician's office.

Dr. Carlton has truly been a God send to me. I cannot say enough about how she has helped me. Dr. Carlton is hands down the best doctor I have ever been to. She is very caring and compassionate. She takes time with her patients to understand you and your needs. I've been to many doctors and she is by far the most caring. If I could give 10 stars I would. She is always there when you need her. No matter how big or small the issue.

Dr. Stacy Carlton is the most sincere, loyal, compassionate, caring, devoted and dedicated physician and friend that I’ve ever had the pleasure and blessings of being affiliated with as a patient. Dr. Stacy is no stranger to her patients and truly connects with them on a level like none other that I’ve ever personally experienced. There have been many times that she has held my hand and shared tears with me as my physician and friend as we discussed treatment plans and solutions for a healthy relationship and outcome for my mental and physical health care for my future. She is beyond diligent in her care and professionalism and I personally feel that she is the reason that I have not given up on myself and and my desire to continue living as I have many chronic health problems. Dr. Carlton is the type of doctor you would expect to see in the old black and white movies! Her caring demeanor calms the most apprehensive patient. She listens to every concern and works with you to address them. My family has been with her since 1996. She has cared for my elderly mother(now deceased) and my children with the same care.I hope I never have to find a new doctor.

Dr. Carlton has taken care of our family for 20+ years now. Her knowledge and level of expertise are second to none. She has taken the time over the years to research our family medical history, run tests, etc. so she could accurately and confidently determine our complicated diagnosis for each family member. When other doctors were stumped and giving up, Dr. Carlton continued full steam ahead and was able to determine that 3 family members have Lupus, 2 have autism, 1 has epilepsy and 3 diabetics among other issues. She really takes the time to listen to what you have to say and is wonderful at explaining exactly what is going on, and what the plan is to cure/treat it. You nevet feel rushed at your appointments and never have but maybe a few minute wait time. Her staff is always very friendly and eager to help you regardless of what it is that you need. When sick and needing an appointment they make it a priority to see you that day or t h.g e next which is nice so you don't have to be waiting aweek or longer to be seen. It is very convenient that she has a lab on the premise so you don't need to be going to the hospital for your blood work. Etc which is nice and saves time. The staff she has working with her have been there for many years which make it nice not having constant turnaround and they know you and your history. They remember you and your family, etc. So your not seeing new people everytime you go to the doctors office. The office is very inviting and always nice and clean making it a very welcoming and calm place for a doctors office. It is conveniently located to several major roads and roads as plenty of parking and well lit parking lot. Everything is handicao accessible and easy to maneuver within the office. If you have any medical need after office hours she is quick to answer her private number immediately, day or night regardless of the time. She is always happy to help you in any way possible, and is always able to refer to other doctors if specialized care is needed for more advanced problems, such as at the Children's Hospital. She stays on top of every request, test result, other doctor correspondence/referral, and insurance details to make sure her patients are being taken care of to the absolute best of her ability. She is well worth every penny that is paid for a MDVIP membership with this sweet professional doctor. We would travel far and wide to continue having her care for our family. Dr. Carlton is truly a one in a million top physician and we woukd not think of seeing anyone else for our medical needs. We don't just think of her as our doctor.....we think of her as family!

My grandma, Gertrude Wyatt, passed away in 2009 of lung cancer that had spread from her vocal cords. We were really poor and my grandma had horrible heart disease and needed a lot of medication. Before my grandma got cancer, she struggled with high blood pressure and heart failure for several years. Dr. Carlton knew that she couldn’t afford prescriptions, so she had her office staff save samples for my grandma so that getting her the medication she needed would be much easier.
My grandmother had been seeing Dr. Carlton for several years before she developed cancer. When her cancer became debilitating, Dr. Carlton came to the hospital to visit my grandma, not as her doctor, but as her friend. Dr. Carlton sat with her and that moment of genuine human connection and love made my grandma so happy. Dr. Carlton really loved and cared about my grandma as I’m sure she does all patients.
My grandmother had such a hard life and her family didn’t treat her very well, so having her doctor, and friend, visit her in the hospital meant so much more to my grandmother than she could put into words. And it still means so much more to me, as her granddaughter, that I can’t put into words the gratitude that I still feel now.
I have always been grateful for Dr. Carlton and the role that she played in keeping my grandma healthy and for being so compassionate and loving when my grandmother was leaving this earth.
There aren’t enough stars in this google review rating scale to appropriately display how much I recommend Dr. Carlton to anyone seeking a compassionate general care practitioner, but there might be enough stars in the sky. Maybe the moon.
