About S. Steven Kim, MD
A humble but inspirational aspiration of devoting a life to help others that began as a small dream in my heart during my high school sophomore year led me through the long, but gratifying journey of becoming a family medicine physician. As your personal primary care doctor, I strive to provide you with individualized care to address your specific medical needs through the development of a long lasting, close and collaborative relationship based on trust and respect. It is my honor and pleasure to be able to partake in the performance of the art of healing to assist you in attaining a healthy life.
I have had the privilege of serving the Henderson/Las Vegas community since 2008 and I am affiliated with St. Rose Dominican Hospital. My goal as an MDVIP-affiliated physician is to offer patients a primary care practice with adequate time to focus on their personal health and concerns. I also offer conveniences, like same- or next-day appointments that start on time, which may be found in concierge medicine practices. You will always be welcomed in our clinic.

I was in Williams Arizona and the closest urgent care was 1 hour in either direction. It was a Friday night at 10:30 and I was in a lot of pain from a UTI. Dr Kim stayed on the phone with me until I was able to get to a place where I could get medication to relieve my pain.

Dr. Kim took extremely good care of me and my husband who had blood clot issues and died in Nov 2025. I moved from Nevada to California or I would still be with Dr. Kim..He was the best Dr. I'd had in a long time.

We highly recommend Brighton Family Medicine and Dr.Kim!!! He is a compassionate, good man who puts his patients FIRST. There is never a wait in this office as he offers top shelf, concierge medicine and not overbooked, concierge medicine... His staff is very friendly and efficient and they take good care of people. Dr. Kim is timely, courteous, patient and professional. I value his expertise. If need be, he’ll contact his colleagues immediately to make sure I have all current information and expertise available with regard to my specific questions. His office staff and nurses are excellent, efficient and personable.

Dr Kim and his staff are excellent. He is very knowledgeable, and is straight up with you. Getting an appointment is a breeze and the wait in the office is minimal if there is a wait at all. One the best doctors in Las Vegas!

I had needed an appointment on same or next day due to infection from a dermatology procedure. Each time, I was able to see Dr. Kim who immediately took charge & ordered prescriptions for pickup that day. I was so grateful that I had joined MDVIP & was able to receive excellent treatment so quickly. Also his referral to Dignity Health Wound Care was a Godsend as it took 3 months of weekly visits to close wound completely. I am so grateful. Thank you, Dr. Kim

I am a Long-time patient of Dr. Kim's for the last 11 years or more. I have never met another Dr with such wonderful bedside manners. He always makes you feel welcomed, comfortable and takes his time with you. Always listens and ensures you understand all information. He goes above and beyond! I was blessed the day I found his office and became a patient of his. The staff is great, they've always been very welcoming and wonderful. Can't go wrong with Dr. Kim. Dr Kim is hands down the best Dr I’ve ever known. I’ve been going to him for about 12 years and he has always had my best interest at heart. From minor issues to recently finding cancer. Dr Kim called the specialist personally and was able to get me seen right away. If you want a Dr that really cares about you, I highly recommend Dr. Kim.

I only recently began seeing Dr. Kim. Although I know people who have loved seeing Concierge doctors, this is my maiden experience with that business model. So far, I'm thrilled to be seen on time (not 30-45 minutes after the scheduled appointment time) and to be able to communicate directly with my doctor (versus leaving a voice message for an M.A.).
I've just completed the on-boarding process which was, if I recall, three visits. Each time, I found Dr. Kim's staff to be very friendly as well as professional and competent. This process also included the most extensive physical I've ever had from a primary care doctor.
I've used the patient portal three times to ask Dr. Kim questions. In the first case, I emailed him very late in the day. When I checked the following day, he had replied. In the second case, he replied within an hour or two. In the third case, he phoned me! HE phoned me, not his M.A. relaying information secondhand.
The parking lot is easy to get in to and there is a lot of parking. It's an easy lot to navigate.
When researching Brighton Family Medical on-line, I noticed that all of his patients and former patients gave him 4 and 5 star reviews except those who were unhappy that he joined a Concierge practice. They all said they were very happy with Dr. Kim until he decided to become a Concierge doctor; that's why there are so many low scores: they are mad about his new business model and unwilling to pay. My 70-year-old husband recently thought he had shingles yet his PCP couldn't see him for 10 days, forcing him to go to Urgent Care. This example is very typical of the state of medical care in our country today and is why more and more people are moving to Concierge doctors. So far, I've found it to be well worth the money. After all, my time has value. Doesn't yours?

I called to make a new patient appointment and inquired as to whether the doctor is excepting new patients. The receptionist very quickly said yes, but I don't have an appointment until April 2020. Ridiculous. Just say you're not accepting new patients.

Dr. Kim discovered my heart condition and was able to get me in to the chief of cardiology at my hospital. All this within the hour. I eventually was sent to an anti arrhythmia specialist and had 5 heart procedures over the next two years, so I feel like he saved my life.
He is very friendly, happy and makes you feel like he is glad you are in his office so he can help you with your medical needs. I never feel rushed when I’m at an appointment and I leave there with information and my questions answered. I have other specialists that I have to see from time, but he is the only one of my doctors that sees me and treats me as a whole person.
