As my husband suffers more and more from dementia Dr Fakhouri's calm and caring and patient demeanor has been a blessing , He really makes me feel like he cares

My husband, the MDVIP patient, has multiple health issues, along with Alzheimers. When I mentioned to Dr. Fakhouri in 2019 that I thought my husbands memory was slipping, he did an interview with us and recommended him to one of the best Neurological Dr in our area. This doctor treated him to the best of his knowledge and talent, but had to admit that we had hit the end of what he could do. Between Dr. Fakhouri and his neurologist he was able to enter treatment at the Lou Rouvo Center for Brain Health, one of the best facilities in the Nation. Treatment has been going well.
Because of this disease my husband feels ill all the time with many different complaints and systems. When ever I call, I prefer to leave a message, and I can count on someone calling before Lunch or before the end of business day. Never have we felt that any member of the staff is acting like "oh no Him again". Everyone is always pleasant and accommodating. I love being able to see Dr. Fakhouri quickly. He is always so kind and understanding.
With the progression of this Alzheimers I am so happy that this is the staff that will help me through it all and show support for both my husband and me.

Dr. Ibrahim Fakhouri is mine and my husband's MDVIP doctor. There isn't enough time or space to list all of Dr. Fakhouri's accolades for us. But there are two in particular that were extremely life changing and affirmed that we made the right choice in choosing him for our doctor. Several years ago, my husband fell extremely ill. My son and I rushed him to St Rose ER. My husband's Kidney doctor, Infectious disease doctor and his Urologist were all called in. This was the most scared I have ever been in my life. My husband had to be intubated. Once the chaos had settled some, I immediately contacted Dr. Fakhouri by text. He responded immediately and for the entire 2 weeks my husband was in the hospital (in and out of ICU) he explained things to me and gave me direction. I was able to care and give care to my husband with his stay. I was able to advise the hospital staff of my wishes and those of my husbands with confidences. With Dr. Fakhouri's guidance, I soon had my husband home and took control of his health care with his physicians and within 3 months he was a different man. His doctors were amazed, and I think even Dr. Fakhouri was based on the information he received from the hospital and the doctors. I had my sons with me and my family, by most important, I had Dr. Fakhouri with me and he never turned me away, he never made me feel like I was a bother. He was nothing short of amazing. A second critical event was in my life. I had to have surgery and because it was during the time of my husbands recovery, I didn't have much time to consider all options. As a result, I was feeling well, I put on a lot of weight and in general was not myself. I was not a happy person. Once I went in for my checkup with Dr. Fakhouri, the nurses asked how I was doing, I began my litany of complaints, almost in tears advising "he has to fix me. I know he can fix me. He has to fix me." When Dr. Fakhouri came in the exam room, he asked how I was doing, lol, I advised I was a mess, he stated, "I hear" and said, "talk to me." That statement alone calmed me. I told him everything and when he looked at all my lab work and current medications from my OBGYN he knew exactly what he needed to do, and he took charge. At this point, he took over my entire treatment from even my OBGYN (now I love my OBGN, however I was not satisfied with his care of me in this area). Dr. Fakhouri adjusted all my medications and changed my diet. I was so off balance that within 3 months, I was starting to feel better. Within 6 months I could tell I was headed in the right direction. Dr. Fakhouri kept "tweaking" my medications and over the next 6 months I was back to feeling like my old self. I had energy, my weight loss was trending down, I had a better outlook on things, a better perspective, I felt better, I was more positive, I was happier. Like I stated above, "he fixed me" and I knew he could. Dr. Fakhouri is awesome. He's attentive, he cares, he listens. He's the best and he's, our doctor!!!!!!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Fakhouri’s for over a decade. He is the most kind, considerate doctor I’ve ever met. He takes the time to listen and cares very much about helping his patients. He’s always been there when my family has needed him, and I feel very thankful to be under his care.
