Alice J. Reed, MD

I have been going to Dr Reed way before she went to MDVIP. I know this is the reason she decided to be a concierge doctor. She cares very much about her patients and wants to take the time to listen and understand what is going on. The doctors out there now, don't take the time with you, only give you a 15 min time slot and you just feel like a number. Dr Reed loves to run blood work and get down to what is really going on. She sets goals for me and doesn't rush into doing things all at once. She tries to make a realistic goal and gives you that push to get there. There are many times I have texted her about things and she will either respond by text or even call, even if it is a Saturday or Sunday. I even texted her one time, I was having some heart palpitations when I was down caring for my father who is in his 90's, because I was stressing over him. She told me what to do, take and talked me through the stress I was undergoing. She said, you also need to think of yourself first before I can be any good or assistance to him. She was right. When I have other things going on, when other Drs are telling me what is going on with any issues, I like to also run it by her and get her medical opinion and advice. Not second guessing the other physician, but to have someone there on my side, since she knows more about my history. I don't think she will, but I hope she doesn't decide to retire anytime soon. Don't know what I would do without her.

Dr Alice Reed is my doctor. She listens to me and responds to my questions. Plain and simply, she cares about me as a person. She takes the time during appointments to review my medical history, listens intently to my needs, giving suggestions. When I had COVID, she called me several times checking on my progress ! I asked her to suggest a strength trainer and she made it happen, connecting me to her person. She is the BEST! Her office is very organized with very kind and organized workers.

I don't have a specific moment or any one particular occurrence to celebrate with Dr. Alice Reed, my primary MDVIP physician. What I do have is years and years of stress free appointments and treatments administered by her.
I've been a patient of Dr. Reeds for decades. I was seeing her as my primary physician before she opted for an MDVIP practice; even before it was necessary to have a primary physician. I remember us discussing not only my health but the health of institutional care itself, when a physician had no time to really spend with patients and had to have a large practice to make a living. In so many words, Dr. Reed desired more time with her patients; to be able to adequately and understandably describe the need for whatever she was ordering and fully answer the many questions patients typically have. I recall the discussion with me and my wife about her transition to an MDVIP practice and what it would mean for us and her. That discussion --that moment of realization by me--is what stands out in my mind as being a turning in my increasing need for care, given my age and some maladies that were becoming apparent. Heretofore, I was becoming agitated and restless regarding appointments not being able to be kept on time; discussions not being able to be completed to my satisfaction; and my inability to reach out when needed and know I would get a timely response. Today, I tout Dr. Reed's relaxed but very critical and caring attention to my needs. She is always available within a reasonable time frame and always has a pleasant response even under dire circumstances. Her on-going support is never-ending. I'm so glad Dr. Reed has an MDVIP practice.

Dr. Reed is absolutely the best doctor I have ever had in so many ways. She is dedicated to her patients beyond the normal needs. This past year was difficult for me and I had several heart tests done. The tests and the stress was huge for me and not only did Dr. Reed check on me several times, but her staff did also. A very rare quality to find these days but I appreciated it so very much. It touched my heart, which means so much when you’re a widow. My budget is tight, but I will always stay with Dr. Reed because she is a brilliant doctor who truly cares about her patients. Her staff is caring, helpful and willing to help in any situation. They make an amazing team and I hope they all stay together.
