My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

My MDVIP-affiliated internal medicine practice has made my dream as a doctor come true! I am now able to enjoy practicing primary care medicine with the delight of providing an unhurried and relaxed atmosphere to help diagnose and treat my patients. And now, I can also focus more on prevention and wellness and do a better job of coaching healthier lifestyle choices to help my patients live longer and happier lives.

My primary care practice currently serves Nassau and Suffolk County in Long Island, New York. Additionally, I see patients who live in Manhattan, Queens and the Greater New York metro area. I am affiliated with St. Francis Hospital and Heart Center in Roslyn, Catholic Health Services of Long Island and the North Shore LIJ Health System at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. As a private doctor, I am able to make house calls (when necessary) and visit my patients in nearby nursing home and rehab centers to maintain continuity of care. Similar to conveniences often associated with concierge medicine practices, I also offer same- or next-day appointments that start on time.

My quest as an internist has always been to provide my patients with the personalized healthcare they deserve, while continuing to enjoy my career.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Luciano

from Maryann B in NY January 20, 2022 for Anthony L. Luciano, MD

I met Dr. Luciano when a family member, not affiliated with St. Francis Hospital, was hospitalized with the SARS virus several years ago. Prior to discharge Dr. Luciano came in to evaluate this individual's readiness for discharge. His questions, style of exploring the answers to glean additional pertinent information, and his follow-up were outstanding!

Both my family members… See more

I’ve known Dr Anthony Luciano for over 30 years. He is my go to voice of reason!
He has always been responsive, professional and knowledgeable. Over the years there have been a variety of medical issues I needed to consult with him on and he has always guided me well. Can’t say there are many others in the medical field I deal with that you know will try to make you feel that you… See more

from Charles in NY March 10, 2020 for Anthony L. Luciano, MD

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Luciano long before his association with MDVIP. We have since added my son to the MDVIP program. Because of Dr. Luciano, we collectively feel a deep sense of security regarding any health issues we may experience. We thoroughly believe in his medical judgement and his sincere efforts to properly respond to any medical issues we may encounter. In a world… See more

from Richard in NY February 29, 2020 for Anthony L. Luciano, MD

When looking to find a personal physician on Long Island while working in another, I asked a physician family member at a function where other physicians were present. My family member brought up Dr. Luciano's name and his colleagues immediately concurred. Each of them then shared an interaction with or an observation of Dr. Luciano's work, patient interaction, or an act of personal… See more

I have been a patient of Dr. Luciano for many years. When he joined MDVIP there was no question I was going along. I have dealt with various health issues and have always gotten good care. But the switch to MDVIP for me was an added layer of security with almost immediate access to services since I seem to get more anxious when I think I need care. The office answer immediately, I can get same… See more

I may have a different perspective than others on what the MDVIP program has meant. That's because I am a doctor as well as being one of his patients. So I have a good understanding of how an office works with time constraints and how medicine has changed over the years. The good old fashion practicing physician is gone in most places. Vanished because of the changed medical system.… See more

Dr Luciano & staff has made a positive difference in my overall health. After my yearly wellness Vist we go over a plan for the upcoming year. Dr Luciano takes the time to go over existing medications and prescriptions.I leave his office with a plan and goals. As far as office staff you truly are a VIP unscheduled appointment, a prescription refill or request for a phone call back from Dr… See more

I don't really have a story, but I have been a patient of Dr. Luciano for about 15 years now and I wanted to use this opportunity to sing his praises. Dr. Luciano is everything a person could want in a doctor: he is intelligent, professional, courteous, thorough, caring and compassionate. I am very grateful to him and his staff for taking such good care of me for all these years.
