About Arun Mathur, MD, CAQSM
I have been blessed to practice medicine in England and the U.S. over the past 20 years. I have completed a sports medicine fellowship here in Toledo, Ohio.
I have been active in sports all my life. Even with my medical career, I have been involved in Toledo sports. I have covered Pacesetter soccer tournaments in Sylvania, The University of Toledo football, basketball and soccer and even the Toledo Mud Hens.
I believe these experiences allow me a unique perspective of how medicine has been practiced. I feel we get caught up in “reflex medicine,” by which I mean we tend to wait for there to be an issue and then do heavy testing to find the cause. “Proactive medicine” is what I feel we should be doing.
I believe in an approach of personalized care, of looking at the person as a whole, including their lifestyle, work and environment. This is why the doctor-patient relationship is so important to me. The more I know about a person the more I can understand their needs. I think the practice of medicine is not only for issues such as blood pressure and diabetes, but also nutrition, exercise and supplementation.
My philosophy is proactive rather than reactive. Treating the person in the present, but also planning for the future. In my practice, our visits take as long as needed, so my patients can reach for the door well before I do!
My MDVIP-affiliated practice offer services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices.

Reviews from the web

The whole office is switching to mdvip which means you have to pay 2k to 2.5k a year to be his patient and if you can't afford it even though you are his patient until the end of the month the office will treat you with as little hypocritical oath as possible.
Wife was seen on friday and told infection was gone but by Sunday it was back and told we can't do anything about it.

Personally called my father and asked how he was doing and called him a prescription. Exceptional care.

Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
