Meet Barbara Winfield, DO

My passion as a family doctor is to provide more personalized medical care to my patients with an emphasis on prevention and wellness. My favorite part of the day is the face-to-face time that I spend with my patients. One of the reasons that I affiliated with MDVIP is to have more time to get to know you and cover health concerns with you so we can better establish a wellness plan.
 
I am a single parent and have been raising my two children alone for several years since the untimely passing of my husband. My hardship has given me a new perspective on what is important and helped me appreciate the good in life. I have received strength from my supportive staff and patients and have been able to return that support to others.
 
I am a board-certified physician in family medicine for over 24 years. I treat patients aged 15 and older. I aim to treat the whole patient both physically and mentally. I have relationships with specialists to whom I can refer to assist my patients, if needed, and more time to speak with them. Some of my professional interests are weight management, women's health and diabetes.

My office serves Camden, Burlington and Gloucester counties in New Jersey. I have patients from Cherry Hill, Voorhees, Marlton, Medford, Runnemede and surrounding communities and from neighboring states.
 
Similar to concierge medicine practices, my MDVIP-affiliated practice offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments. I look forward to working with you with a goal of improving your lifestyle and helping your overall health and well-being.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Barbara Winfield for multiple years. One may have to wait long for appointment, however, Dr. Winfield takes the time to be thorough with each of her patients. Other doctors, especially specialists make a patient wait only to be rushed out the door. (Thus leaving a patient the sense of feeling similar to being in an assembly line.) Whereby, Dr. Winfield is compassionate and will take whatever time necessary to address all concerns. Donna, (Who has been with Dr. Winfield at previous location and at this location), has the gift of proficiency in expediting and assisting Dr. Winfield for the patients' medical needs.

The new office is now set up with other doctors and new reception personnel. For long term patients, like myself, this does take time to get use to. Especially when the previous location had Dr. Winfield as the only doctor with superb staff members who felt like family.

We highly recommend this doctor being your family physician who will take the time to address one's medical concerns and needs.

I'll be short and sweet. If I call for an appointment, I get one right away. When I go there, I'm taken back in a minute or two. When I talk to staff, they are kind, thoughtful and thorough. Unfortunately, since the practice has been combined with 2 other doctors the service has suffered. Although I love Dr. Winfield, the receptionists are rude, and unhelpful. I called to make an appointment today (not for today, but just to make the appointment), and was told to call tomorrow to make an appointment. Why would you not just take the time to schedule an appointment today? The policies are constantly changing, and as such when I go to do things the way I always have for the past 6 or so years I have been with Dr. Winfield I am given attitude about how things are different now like I should just know that they have changed. I will absolutely be changing practices immediately. I have tried to put up with it since they have moved, but enough is enough.

Dr. Winfield is a great diagnostic doctor and a pleasant bedside manner. When she moved her office is now 40 minutes away and will travel to see her instead of finding someone closer. Although I do not like her new office staff or Doctors she merged with its Dr. Winfield who I am seeing not the staff. Wish she was back on her own again. Her and Donna make a great team.

Took 4-6 months continuously to trace the lab results but None to be heard or followed up. Then gave up calling and waited for the whole past year, still None heard but only bills shown up.

A family member went to see Dr. Winfield, and she definitely is not into her job. Never asked questions, basically no patient care. She makes you feel like you are going to the office for nothing. This is not a doctor. I would not want to evaluate me, and you shouldn't either. No VIP for me.

Waited over two hours to been seen my first appointment. When I finally saw Dr. Winfield, it felt as if I was wasting her time. She requested blood work and apparently read it wrong. A speciality doctor requested blood work and referred me back to my primary. So I went back. She didn't ask any questions but prescribed medication. 3 months later I need more blood work. 2 months after that I'm still waiting on a phone call for results. She called in the wrong prescription for me and nobody knows why. If you want a doctor who even remotely cares about you as a patient... Go somewhere else.

I had been with Dr. Winfield most of the yrs. she has been practicing, She is wonderful, warm, and compassionate, along with her side kick Donna, When she moved with this location and a few new doctors, things took a turn for the worst, there is no way to speak with her on the phone ( she personally used to return your call ), refills take a lot longer to get, and the worst part is, she no longer accepts my insurance, that feels horrible to have to change doctors just for insurance purposes, when you have been with the same doctor forever, miss going to her as a doctor .

I was a patient of Dr. Winfield for a very long time until I went into kidney failure and found out that she had not checked my blood pressure in 3 years and the reason my kidneys failed was due to high blood pressure. High blood pressure runs in my family my mom has it too and my mother was also a patient of Dr. Winfield. Please find another Dr. your life may depend on it.

Dr. Winfield is amazing! She actually listens, ask questions, and writes down things during our visits. After years of struggling with asthma that often required hospitalization, she was able to figure out the key to the issue during our first visit. After a simple change of medication, I am happy to report that I’ve not been hospitalized for years since. She’s also warm, patient, kind. I couldn’t be happier with her. Dr. Winfield is a competent doctor who delivers excellent results.

Hi my name is harry i have been with Dr.winfield for many of years.My first visit was awesome i been with a few doctors in the past some good some not so good. What i mean too say is she and her staff were amazing and caring they took time to listen to me.Dr.winfield she was so caring and thoughtful. I got a complete checkup a lot of my doctors in the past i walk in and within 5mins they are writing out medicine for me it felt like they were pushing me throw not caring. Most of the time the medicine didn't help me anyway.What i am getting at is she took a little time but she changed my life for the better.Got my blood pressure perfect my depression is at the lowest its been in a long time.I can go on and on but what iam getting at is i fell like family when i am in her office.If you are looking for a doctor i recommend to make an appointment. // She is going to merg with two other doctors.
