Meet Brittany Z. Gusic, MD

My goal as your personal doctor is to assist in your health efforts and work with you towards feeling your best. I believe that listening to patients and dedicating more time and undivided attention that patients deserve is the key to patient care and building lasting patient-physician relationships. I put a strong emphasis on preventative care and help patients as they work towards a healthier future through lifestyle modifications instead of the addition of more medication, where appropriate.

I am a board-certified family medicine physician and native of West Virginia. I moved to South Carolina years ago and call it home. I serve patients in Conway, as well as Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas. I enjoy all aspects of primary care, but am passionate about diabetes, cardiovascular care and obesity. I use my background in exercise physiology to help patients develop personalized fitness and healthy eating plans. Wellness is a journey, and I am here for you every step of the way to encourage and support you as you pursue reaching your best self.

My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. I also offer same- or next-day appointments.

Wasn't feeling well,so I went to call for an appointment with my Doctor Dr.Gusic,they told me Dr.Gusic is no longer in practice,no warning no letter to me telling me if she relocated..Nothing!! ,How do doctors do this..How does she do this to her patients, no detacation to there patients at all.

I give this office ZERO stars. I was referred to Dr Gusic about a year ago by my coworkers who some are no longer going to her for my same type of reason. Her office called me last week on my way to my appointment and cancelled with no notice. I went in today for my rescheduled appt pretty sick by this time, I'd been counting the days since I was so sick. My appt was for 8:45, I was 7 minutes late because I took a wrong turn by accident. Then I had to stand in line to check in for 5 minutes at least. The nurse came out swiftly and very Unkindly proceeded to tell me I was late & that I would need to reschedule. OH, but I could wait, although there was no guarantee I would be seen. Then when I tried explaining why I was late but she told me several times that I should have arrived 15 min early at 8:30. She said "it's just as a courtesy to you doctor, everyone knows it". I told her no one asked me to arrive at 8:30 then I said "goodbye' and left. I was really sick at this moment and at the most 7 min late, after standing in line I was about 15 min late. There was no 'courtesy' or grace afford me when I needed help. I wouldn't go back & wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I feel I loyally waited that entire week to see Dr gusic. Even a Doctor is only as good as those surrounding her and helping lift her up, instead of bringing her down. I would NOT recommend. but if you go there, be 15 minutes early.

Dr Gusic is a very caring, highly attentive, knowledgeable doctor. She takes her time in listening to you as if you are her only patient. Although most of her reviews are positive, the few negative have nothing to do with her but with the system she worked for. If you look at her history, she left those systems as soon as she could professionally. I am honored to be one of her patients, especially now that she has her own practice. If you are tired of doctors rushing you out the door and treating you as just another patient, then you should give Dr Gusic a try. You will wonder why you waited so long.
