What our members are saying

Dr. Brooks Lide has been my choice as personal physician since 1998. His level of care is unparalleled. When I was there for a physical in 2016, he came into the waiting room to offer comfort as I had heard that my Dad had died. That small little personal touch made my day. Dr. Lide has been available for same day appointments when I was struck with severe food poisoning from a Denny’s. Glad Dr.…

Dr. Brooks Lide has been my Internist for many years. He is committed to keeping me healthy and helping me enjoy that status. Brooks is intelligent, has a wonderful “bedside manner,” and is a superb listener and forward thinker. He takes a personal interest in each patient, explaining medical terms and diagnoses in easy-to-understand language. Brooks is very pragmatic and always puts the…

My original MD VIP retired 2 years ago. It was a difficult situation because we did not want to go to the replacement MDVIP had chosen. The other physicians in the practice were "full" however my husband was able to switch to one of these. The physician in another practice that I wanted to try was not taking new patients. Fortunately the physician my husband would be going to in the same practice agreed to take me too.
We are very happy but know our physician will be retiring in a few years. I am concerned that we again will not be comfortable with MDvip's choice of a replacement. We want a smart and very competent physician but we want to connect culturely as well. This is important for ongoing communication and lifestyle, etc understanding. Dr. Lide was an excellent replacement for Dr. Sloan. Both Drs. have similar cultural, communication and lifestyle as each other and my husband and me. Of course we want the expertise, competence and experience as our first priority but in diagnosing and treating, the other background issues are important.

Dr. Lide has always been thorough & attentive & always glad to answer my questions & concerns. It is reassuring to have him in my corner now that I am aging & do not have family here in Atlanta.
He's a fine gentleman!

If you're a younger person with more complex needs, please seek another provider. The negligence I experienced during a crisis was previously unthinkable to me. I received better care from a CVS clinic.

My wife and I were patients of Dr Brooks Lide before MDVIP began. We are delighted to continue the relationship, and consider him a friend as well as physician. It gives us a sense of security knowing that he is available, plus the excellent internet connection.

Dr. Lide was my husband's doctor for several years. We wish we had joined his VIP list because we have not been able to find another doctor that is capable of taking care of my husband the way Dr. Lide did. He took such good care of my husband. Dr. Lide is better than Dr. Oz and Dr. Sanjay Gupta combined. We love him and miss him more than mere words can express. If he ever has an opening on his waiting list for VIP MD, I hope we will be able to join. He is truly irreplacable.

Dr. Lides negligence after a critical physical back on 15 December 2003 resulted in my kidney failure and I am currently am doing daily Peritoneal Dialysis. , trying to get on a Transplant list in Georgia and Rhode Island.
After a Thanksgiving hunting trip when I fell in a creek I scheduled a visit to Piedmont for a physical, yes I should have gone to ER. At this physical my bp was 198/98. I requested a C reactive protein test because I thought I had a heart problem. Going out to California for Xmas I called on 21 December and nurse Rose said all your lab work isn't back yet but your Crp is 7.9 and your chlosteral is 168 ! This is Piedmont and lab corp . 37 days later in January I get a Card in The MAIL, your kidneys are out of whack, come in for lab work ! 10 days later I'm out of the hospital with 26% renal function.. I now go to Mayo Rochester for real care !

I've been a patient of Dr. Lide's for a few years and he is an excellent Doctor. He really takes time with you and is very patient. I had a fantastic Doctor who retired about 15 years ago, and I saw several Doctor's throughout the years since then, but I wasn't really satisfied with anyone until I met Dr. Lide. I really can't recommend him enough-even the support staff is fantastic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
