About Carolyn F. Denney, MD, FACP
Critical to achieving your health goals is an excellent patient-physician relationship. My goal as your private physician is to form that bond, one that will maximize a healthy lifestyle and allow me to provide personalized care. I believe preventive care is the cornerstone of excellent health in which exercise plays a crucial role. I prize getting to know each of my patients well beyond their immediate health needs so I may put the puzzle of your lifelong health together. Spending ample time with my patients allows me to gain a thorough understanding of all the nuances of your medical history and is precisely what is achieved in the MDVIP model of care, affording the time to care for you personally and proactively. Never before has healthcare been more important and the availability of your physician more meaningful. When problems do arise, I find great satisfaction in orchestrating the care of my patients, coordinating care with specialists as needed and interacting with colleagues to achieve optimal care and outcomes for my patients.
I am also a board-certified infectious disease specialist and have interests in travel medicine and preventive care. As a consultant, I am referred patients with a variety of infectious disease problems. I am presently affiliated with Memorial Regional Hospital, Memorial Hospital Pembroke and Memorial Hospital South. My medical practice serves Broward County, and I also speak Spanish.

Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
