About Christian H. LeFevre, MD
Although it sounds like a cliché, good health care is really all about the doctor-patient relationship. The patient and the physician need to be satisfied for the relationship to work. I want my patients to know they can count on me to be there any time they need me - to answer questions, to solve problems or prevent them no matter how big or small. I love practicing medicine in my current environment because I am able to really get to know each of my patients and because my practice is full of patients who value the importance of having a close and personal partnership with their physician.

I've had very good experiences with Dr. LeFevre over many years. He has always been a very careful listener, and he takes the time to discuss any concerns I may have. His manner with me as a patient has always been attentive, respectful, and non-judgmental. Dr. LeFevre is also a very careful observer and a good diagnostician. (A specialist physician expressed surprise that Dr. LeFevre noticed what the specialist described as "very subtle" signs that I should be tested for a cancer, which I did, in fact, have.)

I have never met a more conscientious medical professional as Dr. LeFevre. He is always available to answer any questions I have regarding the necessary things I must do to keep my wellness consistent . After recent cardiac surgery he has followed all reports from the surgeon and his staff , paying particular attention to the medications they have prescribed . Dr. LeFevre reviews my progress in recovery with me and has made important observations regarding my physical exercises , making it easier for me to understand the expected results . He receives all reports from the technical exams ordered by the cardiac specialty team and reviews them with me and any of the specialists involved.

Moving around a lot, the MDVIP concierge medicine service has been my saving grace for needed medical visits/treatments (and is very convenient for multiple reasons). After moving to DC, I was recommended to contact Dr. LeFevre for my primary care needs and it was most certainly a great recommendation. Dr. LeFevre is both personal and professional as well as very attentive to his patients, providing extremely prompt follow-up too. Dr. LeFevre has been my internist since 1988. He is thoughtful, thorough, sensitive and even-keeled in both his personality and bedside manner. He is always on the mark, neither being too invasive in his approach but at the same time truly listening and being willing to explore every avenue of a particular concern. Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
