I have known Dr. Conigliaro Jones well over ten years before he became an MDVIP provider. I was a cancer patient who recently relocated to SC from NY. I have watched Dr. Jones grow over the years. His demeanor and bedside manner has not changed. He brings with him in the patient room his bright smile, pleasant demeanor, and compassion. I truly believe that Dr. Jones loves his patients and loves being a doctor. When he told me that he was looking at advancing his profession and seeking opportunities elsewhere, I was concerned that he was leaving. I have been in the medical field for years as a EMT and a medical in the Army. Since my time in both areas I've become very concerned about the independence of doctors, the efficacy of doctor patient interactions, and the loss of family doctors to hospital conglomerate and big pharma. Simply put, doctors that work too hard to pay off debt, seeing too many patients, having their hands tied by hospital groups and pharmaceutical lobbying; leading to decrease care and medication push versus true care. This led me to not trust doctors, hospital systems, and the care being pushed on me and others. Dr. CONIGLIARO JONES changed that for me by operating outside of that system. He does not have an outrageous patient load, listens to you, interacts with youas well as provide specific holistic care. He sent me to specialist as needed and provided only necessary medications and care. He takes the time to understand me as an individual patient, tailoring my care to my specific needs. Also, taking the time to explain the entire process without rushing me out for the next patient or paycheck. This affords him time to understand me as an individual patient, and tailor my treatment to only what I need. He looks at what really works versus what is being pushed by big pharma and system collective. This tailored approach instills trust, educational treatment for me, as well as giving me a role in my personal care. Please continue to allow him to truly manage his patient load and not be pressured to make quotas. Yesterday I met my new doctor Dr C Jones who replaced David Fisher because Dr Fisher canceled 7 appointments since April 2023. I paid $2,000 for Doctor Fisher’s services but it was for 1 appointment and lab work in March 2023. I think I should not have to pay for a MVIP doctor who no longer cared about any of his patients . I liked DrJones upon meeting him a few days ago. He was very thorough and listened to my concerns of being on blood thinners and diabetes and the previous Doctor has supposedly retired. Dr Jones is the first doctor that I have that actually cares about his patients and is quick to report lab work done the same day. He not only is a valuable doctor for MDVIP but a caring and responsible doctor for The office in Elgin he shared with Doctor Martin. Thank you for recommending him. I am truly happy and no longer scared because of lack of communication with the retiring Doctor

Meet Conigliaro Jones, MD, FAAFP

My MDVIP-affiliated family medicine practice is located in Columbia, South Carolina. I have been a primary care family doctor for over 25 years. I have worked in various networks, including different community health centers, hospice care, nursing homes and private practice and have spent over 20 years performing clinical trials in various therapeutic areas. I believe this vast experience helps provide me with a holistic understanding and perspective on medicine that is comprehensive.

I decided to become an affiliate with MDVIP so I have more time to focus on you, the patient, and not feel rushed through the encounter. My practice size is much smaller than typical primary care practices and helps me to offer unhurried visits and same- or next-day appointments. My staff is also small, which allows us to get to know patients on a more personal level. I also have more time to follow up on referrals and medications in a personalized manner.

I work to develop personal doctor-patient relationships. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. This includes the annual MDVIP Wellness Program, which includes assessments and lab work that have been shown to help identify certain risk factors. Results from the annual Program can help give us a deeper picture of your health and aid in designing a plan to follow as you work to improve your health now and for the future.

We have two locations to serve you: downtown Columbia and Northeast Columbia (Elgin). We have patients who live in Blythewood, Sumter, Hopkins, Aiken, as well as Charlotte, NC, and Atlanta, GA.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

Peace, I wanted a Foundational Black American Doctor show I found Dr. Jones. I just was released from the hospital due to A-Fib and missed my initial appt. Due to my condition, my wife called to reschedule and I never was contacted. But I still wanted to support my own nation and instead of returning to another PCP I kept trying to get an appt. I've called 8 times with one answer and no follow thru. They don't pick up the appt.line its really sad. You want to support your own and need that cultural connection but this is ridiculous..I don't want to go to an Indian, African or Caucasian or Asian because they have biases and don't understand the mindset . but I guess ill have too. Its a darn shame many FBA physician's have low rating on line due to this issue.. How are we to every become a self sufficient community when we function at this level.

I was looking for a Doctor after moving to Columbia, and was referred to Dr Jones by a friend. On the very first visit the staff was warm, polite, respectful, very efficient and knowledgeable. Dr Jones was very informative,and thorough. He not only addressed all of my health needs, but also any concerns and all questions that I had. I left not only satisfied with that office visit, but impressed as well. That was 6 years ago, and every visit has been the same. They have added staff, and Nurse Practicioner Peete is very competent and does a great job when I see her in Dr Jones stead. The care is completely genuine and I'm always taken care of quickly from the front to the end of the visit. Shelita is hands down the best! Very informative, answers all questions I have, and makes every visit feel like your seeing family! Great team with A1 service!
I would recommend this practice to everyone.
