Meet David C. Fisher, MD

My goal as your personal doctor is to collaborate with you to help you make choices that will support your long-term health. Through a personalized approach based on your concerns, lifestyle and medical history, I will assist you with navigating an increasingly complex healthcare environment to help you maintain or improve your health in a holistic manner.

As an internal medicine physician who has practiced for over 25 years in both the San Francisco Bay and Cincinnati, Ohio areas, I have treated a diverse population in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My MDVIP-affiliated primary care practice will afford me the time to help you achieve a happier, healthier future. I feel passionately that increased time spent on disease prevention and being available during your times of need can lead to a satisfying long-term doctor-patient relationship.

Frequently Asked Questions

Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.

He doesn't even deserve one star. First and last visit...he has a horrible bedside manner! Would not recommend him. He was rude!

While Dr. Fisher is nice enough, I would HIGHLY recommend seeing another doctor. I had some severe stomach issues and was losing weight and Dr. Fisher told me to get some OTC probiotics. Then when issues persisted and I called back to request lab work and bloodwork, he refused to order those tests. I then had to seek out a GI who did request for me to have those tests done, so he could properly treat me. So not only did Dr. Fisher not help me, he also put me weeks behind getting treatment as I had to have the GI order the tests. Bottom line, go to a different doctor who is actually thorough.

I was a patient of Dr Fisher’s for 10 years before he joined MDVIP. I was skeptical and unsure of value for price. Working directly through my physician and his staff rather than via a large corporate structure has proved to be a HUGE benefit. Affable familiar staff and lots more time with my doctor have been been refreshing and helpful.

Since my first review posting above, I remain HIGHLY satisfied with MDVIP and Dr Fisher and his staff. Access, attention, quality of care are all EXCELLENT. I can't imagine being happier with my health care team... including MDVIP.

Dr Fisher is the best! I was having some problems in late 2015 and my previous Dr could not figure it out for 6 months. Moved to Dr Fisher 1/2016. Right away he knew something was wrong and ordered an MRI and other tests. The MRI found a brain tumor. He saved my life! I highly recommend!

Review of Dr. David Fisher, MD
I am writing this review to express my deep concern and disappointment with the actions of
Dr. David Fisher, MD, from Cincinnati, Ohio. My father-in-law, a Vietnam War veteran, has
been under his care since January 12, 2024. Despite the initial continuity of care, we have
recently experienced a distressing situation that has put my father-in-law's health at risk.
Dr. Fisher, who had been filling my father-in-law's prescriptions for several narcotics
(medications he has relied on for over 20 years due to chronic pain), suddenly decided to
terminate his patient status, effective May 29th. While it is within a doctor's rights to
choose their patients, what followed this decision is what I find most alarming.
After receiving the termination letter, my father-in-law, understandably upset, expressed his
frustration to a nurse at the doctor's office. In response, Dr. Fisher has chosen to withhold
all of his medications and refuse to call in his refills. This abrupt cessation of necessary
medication not only goes against the promise of continued care until the termination date
but also puts my father-in-law in a dangerous position, as he could suffer life-threatening
reactions from not having these medications.
It is deeply concerning that a healthcare professional would choose to put a patient in
harm's way in retaliation for harsh words. Especially considering that my father-in-law is a
combat veteran diagnosed with PTSD, it is crucial to approach such situations with
understanding and empathy.
In conclusion, I find Dr. Fisher's actions to be highly unprofessional and potentially
dangerous. It is essential for doctors to uphold their Hippocratic Oath to do no harm, and in
this case, I believe Dr. Fisher has failed to do so. I hope this review serves as a reminder of
the importance of empathy, understanding, and professionalism in the medical field.

Worst experience I've ever had with a Physician. I've seen Dr. CAMPBELL in this office for over 15 years but he recently retired and I got switched to Dr. Fisher. I came in to get a refill on my Concerta which Dr CAMPBELL has prescriber for me for 12+ years. Dr. Fisher asked who had written my last prescription for the Concerta and I explained to him that I had it filled in California where we also have a home and they wouldn't fill an out of state prescription for a controlled substance , which Concerta is, so I had to find a Dr. in California to prescribe it. This was the only prescription of Concerta that had ever been written outside of this office. Apparently not believing me, he informs me that he used to work in San Francisco and that is not the case. I told him it is most certainly is the case because I experienced it first hand. And for the record, if he calls any CVS in California or takes the time to look up California's Health and Safety Code section 11150 he would see that this is correct. He then informs me that he is not going to write a prescription for me because my story doesn't add up. Apparently the fact that he can easily verify that I've been prescribed Concerta for 12 + years from his very office should not be considered but the fact that I corrected him on California law means I must be a drug seeking patient! I've never met or more arrogant Dr. And would highly recommend you seek care elsewhere if you are looking for a competent physician.
