In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, I endeavor to develop a strong interpersonal relationship with my patients. I view my role as a personal primary care physician as striving to understand the totality of my patents’ health. This involves interacting with specialists and other members of the healthcare team. As an internal medicine doctor who is an attending physician at Mount Sinai Hospital and a specialist in the
developmental process of aging, I utilize evidence-based preventive medicine for my patients. My practice is situated in Midtown Manhattan just off Columbus Circle. My practice offers the conveniences of same or next day appointment and the ability to contact me during and after hours. Working together, we can lead healthier and happier lives.

My Doctor David Kamlet is a very caring person. When I had an unexpected, traumatic experience at a family event, my doctor called me and spoke with me for over an hour. Dr. Kamlet has been my doctor for over 20 years. As a seasoned professor, to have him as a doctor is to be cared for and educated as a whole person. He has always taken the time to listen and to teach me on how to live a healthy life. He is caring and passionate about taking care of his patients. He cares for us like we are his family. I appreciate that he is strict with me for my own benefit. As he says, his job is to help me reach my older years in the best health possible. Dr. Kamlet is a wonderful doctor! He is kind, caring person who spends ample time speaking with you to solve health issues. He is compassionate with patients' injuries, a good listener, and helps patients improve their overall health and well-being. He has wonderful staff members who respond to phone calls, messages, and emails on the same day, and who send out referrals right after appointments and phone conferences. I highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Kamlet cares more about his patience than any doctor I know. I've been with him for years and he as always been patient and took his time. He is really intelligent and I would recommend him to anyone. His staff is so inviting, and his waiting room is very pleasent. At first I thought MDVIP was too expensive, and a waste of money, but after a while I learned it is 100% worth the extra expense. The average time a visit from the doctor is is in America is 8 minuets. This has lead the practice of preventive medicine to die. With MDVIP I get 3 hour physical each year to see how I'm actually doing, and how I can prevent getting sick in the future. I truly believe that MDVIP and Dr. Kamlet are prolonging my life and is worth every penny.

Rude and awful front desk. Was calling for information and was instantly interrupted and shut down, being told that he’s not taking new patients. Honestly he could be the best doctor in the world, but clearly doesn’t seem to care about customer service.

I am in the program because I have been with Dr. Kamlet for 30-40 years and now have priority time and care. I would not consider leaving his care as he is an excellent diagnostician and proactive doctor who has my medical history. But even more, he is a caring, thorough doctor who I am lucky to have on my side.

I was puzzled by the one rambling negative review on here. I have always found Dr. Kamlet's office to be extremely easy to reach, capable, and I have never had a hard time seeing him. He has always been caring and thorough. I have felt like I had good care for many years. He is switching to a private membership practice, so unfortunately I have to move on. But he gave me good care for over 15 years.

I chose my insurance policy this year based on the network - wanted to keep Dr. Kamlet as my PCP. I don't have major medical issues but each time I have seen Dr. Kamlet I feel he gives me very common-sense, well-thought-out recommendations. The sinus infection (that I thought was something much worse) is abating now that I'm follow his treatment. My only concern is that he is only on a couple of insurance networks, and the one I've chosen just raised their rates for next year by almost $100 - not good considering I hadn't even used it (until last week) and probably will never reach my $2000 deductible.

Having Doctor Kamlent as my PCP, makes me feel that I do have a friend or Family member taking care of my health, not just a doctor that thinks I am good only for my insurance.

He made a serious error in diagnosing my husband's condition and I will never forgive him for it. My husband is such a nice guy he didn't want to pursue any legal action; instead, he just suffered in pain for months because Kamlet gave him antibiotics and sent him home when he needed to be operated right away. I can't recommend this guy to anyone.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
