I live in a farm in central Pennsylvania. I was coming in from the barn and was out of breath. I got into the house , sat down and felt better. I took my pulse and it was 33. I was going to lie down and take a nap but my 13 year old granddaughter insisted that I call the doctor. After confirming my pulse rate with a cuff I called Dr Maleh’s office and left the information with the receptionist. Minutes later Dr Maleh called and said Jim , “ you got my attention with a pulse rate of 32.” He instructed me to go to the nearest hospital IMMEDIATELY. My wife, Phyllis, and I are relative newcomers to the MDVIP program. Our longtime primary care physician, who we loved and respected for some 30 years, retired. We were concerned we'd never find anyone as good. Not to worry. A friend recommended Dr. David Maleh, and we just love him. We've been patients for only about 14 months, but every visit to his office has been wonderful. We've had two wellness checks and several other visits for minor aches, pains or illnesses. Dr. Maleh has been great, exhibiting lots of wisdom, patience and care. He and his MDVIP staff have been Godsends since we are over 80 and struggling to stay in our own home. Meet David J. Maleh, MD

As your private primary care physician, my goal is to provide you with the optimal patient experience by focusing on prevention, early detection and treatment of both acute and chronic issues. Central to the delivery of this care is a strong relationship between each individual patient and his or her physician. Personalized health care provides me with an opportunity to achieve this relationship with my patients and offers you more favorable outcomes and satisfaction moving forward.

This is why I am so excited to be affiliated with MDVIP; it will allow me to do what I do best, take care of you! I trained at Christiana Care and have been a practicing physician here in Delaware for 17 years, including the last 12 at my primary care office. I have maintained my affiliation with Christiana Care and remain an active member of its Performance Excellence Committee since 2014. I was recognized as a Top Doc in Delaware Magazine in 2014 and in Philadelphia Magazine from 2014-2017. My practice is located in North Wilmington and I presently serve patients in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
