About David A. Targan, DO, FACP
Every morning we wake up to our own reality show. Our accomplishments embody who we are and define our goals and achievements. My experiences previously in the entertainment industry and now as an internal medicine physician have shown me that regardless of our dreams and aspirations, our health is of paramount importance to each of us.
As your MDVIP-affiliated physician, I will be fully committed to creating a personalized healthcare plan to treat your current health problems and help you prevent new ones. We will work together, using an integrative approach, to formulate a wellness plan for you, with an emphasis on prevention.
I am currently affiliated with Lankenau Medical Center, conveniently located between downtown Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs to include Wynnewood, Bala Cynwyd and the Main Line. As a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, I have practiced within the Main Line Health System for over 15 years. I have relationships with physicians in all subspecialties and the tools necessary to help you navigate through the ever-changing healthcare system. Dr. Targan has been our family primary care physician for the last couple of years and every single experience with him has been more than delightful and helpful. He’s a very thorough doctor who always wants to get to the bottom of whatever we’re feeling. He spends a vast amount of time with each patient but is always on time for appointments. He takes time to listen to everything we need to tell him and makes every conversation pleasant with his good humor and friendliness. Every single specialist we meet through him only speaks praise about him. He’s a joy to visit and his entire office is full of nice people who will greet you (sometimes even by name!) and will treat you like you’re the only patient there. Can’t recommend this practice enough!! My husband and I love having Dr. Targan a phone call away, you really feel he has your back and your health as his priority. Thank you!!

Dr. David Targan is an has been my primary physician for 10+ years, and within those years Dr. Targan has literally saved my life when my asthma was out of control sending me to ICU, Dr. Targan was there making sure I was on the right medications and ensuring me that I would be back to normal in time, and as long as I did what I was suppose to do. I recently lost my grandson which was devastating tragedy, I call Dr. Targan because I knew I had to speak to someone who was not only the BEST Physician but a caring man that definitely cares about his patients. I have several friends from police officers, PHA employees to sanitation workers that I recommend they switch their Doctor and go to Dr. Targan and there also extremely satisfied.

Doctor Targan and his whole staff made my first visit a very pleasurable experience. Shelley was at the front desk and was super friendly, patient, and helpful. She gives clear instructions and is willing to assist you with any questions or concerns. The physician’s assistant was also great! She was personable and did a quick checkup while also suggesting a few things to consider. Last, but not least, doctor Targan was upbeat, knowledgeable, and took great care of me!! Ive been a patient of Dr Targan’s now for several years, and he’s been excellent he always takes time to talk about any medical issues that I may be concerned about, also when I need an appointment I don’t have to be worried about waiting for months-to get one.
