About Deirdre McMullen, MD
As a family physician, my greatest reward is the relationship between myself and my patients. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices.
I am a board-certified family physician in the Missouri City/Sugar Land area. I have been in practice in the area since 1999. In addition to general family practice, I have a passion for bariatric medical care and hormone therapy. I have courtesy privileges at Houston Methodist Sugar Land and Memorial Hermann Sugar Land hospitals.

Dr. McMullen is an incredible doc! Our family has had a lot going on medically over the last 2 yrs and I/we could not have gotten thru it without her. She has been a friend , a confidant, a shoulder to cry on and an incredible doctor ! She has taken care of my parents and myself in our hr of need no matter what time of day it is , weekend etc! Just moved to the area. Went for two annual physicals, two weeks elapsed without results. I had to call three times and got three different responses. I then got told that my blood results weren't viable but without an explanation as to the problem, and I would have to come back in. Poor organization, poor information, and nonexistent communication.

This office is absolutely ridiculous! They will not call with results or even answer our calls when they have the results. Being referred by NP Spears for two expensive procedures and she won’t even read the report when received. Will not waste my time at this office nor will my family. I wouldn’t give any stars but that was not an option. Also, office closes at 5 and phones are transferred to answering service before 5. RIDICULOUS PRACTICE!

Dr. Deidre McMullen is simply the best! She is very personable, caring , kind, and compassionate. My family has been using her medical services for over a decade! We even make the long hour trip into the city and pay the MDVIP membership fee to keep her as our doctor. I’ve had many of doctors in my years past , and there is non quite like her. I can’t say enough nice things about her! I wouldn’t want any other doctor to take care of our medical needs and overall health. I don’t know what we’d do without her! I have been with Dr. McMullen for over 18 years have received exceptional care and she has raised the quality of her practice to the next level with MDVIP. . Dr. McMullen is very attentive and caring(plus she laughs at my jokes!). She listens to what you have to say and inquires about what is going on in your life, not just what your symptoms are. In 2009, it was this type of care that enabled her to diagnose a life-threatening blood clot that was potentially fatal. She prescribed a course of treatment based on my symptoms. When I did not improve right away,, she did not blow me off and tell me to give the treatment time. She immediately ordered testing and referrals, which enabled the correct diagnosis and subsequent treatment, thus saving my life. Unlike most drs. I have been to over the years, she listens to what you have to say and does not talk down to you. Her professionalism and approach to you as a patient is second to none.
Every drs. office has its problems, but I can report issues to Dr. McMullen and she is always receptive and the issues are resolved.
I highly recommend Dr. McMullen and her staff for the care and service they provide.

Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience.
