I had a childhood friend mention Dr. Phillips to me because her husband went to him. I thought a lot of him, so I reached out to Dr. Phillips and made an appointment to “check him out!” That was almost 10 years ago! I can’t tell you how BLESSED I am now that “Ron” is MY doctor! Since I came on board, I have been through a large series of medical issues over the years that he skillfully “coached me through”. His staff are true professionals that go out of their way to make sure the needs of his patients are met. I can’t imagine being “taken care of” by ANYONE else!

To whom it may concern:
If I could give a negative star I would. I will try to be brief. Signed up for MDVIP to gain more information about their concierge service and Dr. Phillips. They emailed and called. Informed me to call the doctor's office to set up a "meet and greet". I did that on July 1st. I called again today after not receiving any contact from their office. I was told if I was not referred by another doctor or a current member of MDVIP they were not accepting new patients. This is not what was indicated to me on the MDVIP website nor from their customer service rep. I already had reservations for this type of practice, yet due to my dissatisfaction with Prisma and the like, I was intrigued. I did not gain a good impression when after 11 days (albeit a holiday and non-working days in between) no one called me back. So now I learn before I even meet the doctor I need to pay $1,980 for an annual service fee to MDVIP to even be considered a new patient. This to me is not concierge service. The search continues for a PCP.

Dr Phillips is hands down the most caring and dedicated doctor I've ever seen. Compassionate, and will not rush you to get to the next patient. He listens. Really listens. 5 stars is almost a joke. I doubt you'll find a doctor locally who truly wants to not only make you well, but also heal you body and soul. The office is ran by a small staff who are very good at what they do, and have often gone above and beyond to get me in to see Dr Phillips, but akso help with prescriptions.

Dr. Phillips is very personable and offers all the time needed for me to ask any questions about my heath and medications. I feel that he holds great concern for my well being and is willing to do whatever it takes to help me feel at ease with any concerns that I may have. He stays current with new medical studies and information that applies to me and he shares that information. He has not only become my doctor but also my friend.

Though an MDVIP member in Florida, I was in need of medical attention while in North Carolina. From the moment I called I felt like a long time patient of Dr. Phillips who stayed late so I could make the trip to his office in Greenville, SC. A patient-Doctor relationship was created in no time. The examination was thorough and treatment rapidly successful. Thank you Dr. Ron Phillips; you are truly a very competent small town doctor.

That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
