Ned not only cares for me, he cares about me, as well as my whole family. He is able to see me as an individual, but also in the context of my family. He is truly a family doc, the way my own father was back in 1930s small town USA.

My husband and I are celebrating milestone birthdays this year (70) and really thinking about our mortality in ways both silly and serious. For example: if we buy new luggage, will it last until we die? Should we sell our house and reduce our belongings so it will be easier for our kids? (BTW, the answer to both is who cares?). There is one decision that we really do care about - keeping Ned… See more

Dr. Legare is a great physician and someone I consider a friend. More than going to just a routine exam, I actually enjoy our conversations. His success in handling my aversion to certain medication is just one example of the trust I have in him. I doubt another doctor would have been able to do this as easily as Ned Legare.
