Eli R. Hallal, MD

Dr Hallal has taken care of myself and my husband for the past two years. I have never felt rushed or that my questions were not taken seriously. My health is in his hands and I am grateful for him. Dr. Hallal truly fits the definition of a "family doctor." My father was a pharmacist and was one of Dr. Hallal's first patients in town. Why? Dad said Dr. Hallal treated him with such respect and kindness at the drugstore and on the phone. Dad recounted the time when there was a long line at the prescription counter, and Dad told Dr. Hallal he did not have to wait in line. Dr. Hallal declined, saying he would wait his turn like everyone else. This is just one of the many stories my family could tell about Dr. Hallal who was a doctor to my dad and mom, two of my aunts and an uncle, some of my cousins, and now for me and for my husband.

How wonderful to have a doctor who has that "family doctor" legacy. The fact that he knows our family history makes the doctor - patient bond one of trust and comfort. Dr. Hallal embodies that adage of "treating the patient, not just the disease." He is empathetic and a good listener. His staff is so kind and caring--they are almost like family to us, too. My husband and I are able to get appointments quickly, and Dr. Hallal returns phone calls immediately regarding health care concerns. This is so important right now since my husband is battling cancer and facing several serious health challenges. Dr. Hallal is extremely knowledgeable, and with his wealth of experience, he is able to administer the proper care as well as give wise counsel.

My husband and I are so very thankful to have Dr. Hallal as our family physician.

I used to hear my parents speak of the family Drs . many years ago , who got their horse and buggy ready , and went to their sick patients home to help them with their illness. The loyalty these good Drs. Patients felt was very deep , as if the Dr was one of their precious family members . The good Dr. had gone far out of his way , sacrificed , and was so very dedicated to help people he cared so much . I feel I still have my Dr. Halal , in modern time , who is just that dedicated , and he will make sacrifices to be there when people really need him . If you are very ill, he will even talk to you on a weekend to help you get thru your illness . Dr. Halal is one of the most caring , unselfish Drs. I have ever seen , in which he is always with that sincere , calming , caring voice - and NEVER getting angry at you for taking his time . He also makes a person feel safe , with his great values and strength , and will go far out of his way to help you ; , with his strong sincerity , integrity, intelligence , honesty , trustfworthiness , reliability and patience for another very important human being Every one I know Loves Dr Halal . Dr. Hallal has been my husband's doctor for years. He is also my husband's friend. When Dr. Hallal joined MDVIP, my husband, Eddie Adams immediately signed up to be a part of it. Dr. Hallal has always been there for Ed through various health problems, arthritic knees, COVID, diverticulosis, and more. His true colors have shown, though, since August 5, 2023 when my husband fell onto parking lot pavement, fractured his skull and had a brain bleed and subsequently seizures. Ed was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis and was in that hospital until September 18. Dr. Hallal travelled to Indianapolis to visit him and to check on him. When Ed was transferred to Harrison Springs Health Campus in Corydon, IN, Dr. Hallel drove from his office to visit him there and to check on his progress and health. He has visited several times, and my husband is always overjoyed to see him. He has made suggestions about his care, and the facility's nurses listen to him and work to carry out his suggestions.
I consider Dr. Hallal the epitome of a caring family doctor. I am so glad my husband stayed with him when he joined MDVIP. Dr. Hallal deserves all the kudos he receives.
