About Elliot Schnur, MD
I love practicing family medicine. Nothing gives me more pleasure than getting to know my patients and their families well, sharing in their life experiences and working with them to create a personalized care plan with an emphasis on prevention and wellness. I’ve been in medical practice in Bucks County, PA, since 1995 and followed the path of a traditional family medicine doctor, bringing my education, experience, compassion and ability to listen to each of my patient interactions. As I saw the landscape of traditional primary care medicine start changing, making it more and more difficult to provide personalized care the way I have always made my priority, I became an MDVIP-affiliated physician.
I chose to affiliate with MDVIP in a practice in the Newtown/Langhorne area. I bring 30 years of experience as a board-certified family physician to this more individualized model of primary care. I have a smaller, personal practice at which I can offer unhurried visits and spend more time with patients. The model gives me more time to discuss healthcare issues with each patient without rushing, helping us to discuss and review their unique needs. My primary care practice is focused on you, and how we can work together as you pursue making a healthier, happier future a reality.
I see patients from Newtown, Langhorne, Yardley, Doylestown, Jamison and all the surrounding Bucks County, Pennsylvania, areas. I have interests in cardiovascular health, diabetes, hypertension and preventive care, including exercise and nutrition. My practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. I also offer conveniences like the opportunity to contact me after hours and same- or next-day appointments with minimal waiting.
My professional, friendly staff and I can welcome you and help you to feel at home in our office. I am currently on staff at St. Mary Medical Center and Doylestown Health.

Reviews from the web
Definitely worth the drive from Center City Philly. My appointment started right on time and the staff and facility were great.
If you are considering using Dr. Schnur at MDVIP I recommend it highly.
The doctor is young enough to understand and treat today’s health issues, yet he has plenty of battlefield experience and knowledge that can only be gained through years of practice.
When I fly I always look in the cockpit when entering the plane, praying at least one of the pilots has gray hair and lots of experience.
Think Sully.
I get that comfort level with Dr. Schnur.
I appreciate that he cares and is very good at what he does.
As I've aged over the past decade, he has skilfully managed my hypertension and diabetes by carefully monitoring through the years, He keeps me abreast of my condition and options and because of this, I've never had the need to visit specialists or an Emergency Room.
If you are looking for a no-nonsense approach to health care, you've found it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
