My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

When patients entrust me with their care, they bring not only their medical histories, but their personal stories, beliefs, hopes and fears. Earning their trust allows me to build true partnerships. I see my role not only as my patients’ physician, but as their healthcare partner and coach. It is exciting to collaborate on individualized wellness strategies to improve not just health, but overall quality of life.

As an MDVIP-affiliated physician, I am gratified to see that many of my patients are becoming healthier, in some cases needing fewer medications, than they were in years past. MDVIP’s program allows me to practice in a style that helps me do the very best for my patients.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Nolfo

from Jeanette Shannon in CT March 12, 2020 for Emily A. Nolfo, MD, FACP

Dr. Nolfo was my doctor way before she joined MDVIP and I'm so happy I stayed with her. Two years ago when a bone scan revealed I had osteopenia she recommended I try working with a strength trainer she uses. Within a year my bones had improved and my diagnosis changed. And my mother would be thrilled to know that I now walk and sit with my shoulders back!
Recently my hip began… See more

Dr. Emily Nolfo knows me well. She treats me like a sentient human being, not a nameless body. I feel comfortable talking to her. I think of her as a friend, as well as a doctor. She is intuitive and observant. I trust her.

from Kim in CT March 11, 2020 for Emily A. Nolfo, MD, FACP

I have been a patient of Dr. Emily Nolfo’s for many years, way before she joined MDVIP. I am not the easiest patient in the world I put off a lot of tests because I don’t want them. She always listens to my reasons explains to me the importance of it, which I know since I am a nurse. But she always respect my decisions. Dr. Nolfo was also my husband’s physician. My husband passed away 13 years… See more

from Diane in CT March 23, 2018 for Emily A. Nolfo, MD, FACP

Dr. Nolfo took the time and effort to help me through a very difficult diagnostic journey. Her compassion and diligence gave me great comfort during a very emotional experience.

She was there when I needed her most - I don't think there is any higher praise for a doctor!

from David in CT March 7, 2018 for Emily A. Nolfo, MD, FACP

Dr.Nolfo,
Thank you for keeping us healthy through the trials & tribulations of our family. I, David, am especially grateful for sending me to an excellent urologist for diagnosis of prostate cancer 10 years ago & its timely removal by DaVinci robot-Probably would not be around to write this if you had not spotted a problem!
Happy Nat'l Doctors Day.
God Bless You… See more

Dr. Nolfo is very patient and takes time to answer any questions I have.
She is a good all around practitioner and keeps in touch with the latest medical knowledge. She is also open to holistic work done by me with other practitioners.
I had an appointment yesterday with a more traditional practitioner and was clearly reminded why I have Dr. Nolfo as my primary care physician.… See more

Dr. Emily Nolfo is a warm, caring person. She does not treat her patients like idiots. She listens to your concerns and opinions with respect. Her staff are also friendly and patient. They do not treat you as though you have interrupted their busy day. You do not wait an inordinate amount of time to be seen. I feel as if my health is a collaborative affair, with Dr. Nolfo taking my… See more
