As an active and energetic 80-year old female, I was completely taken by surprise by a recent illness that set me back for over a month. My amazing doctor, Felice Levine, treated every symptom and succeeded in eliminating them. Here's my story: I attended a funeral and was exposed to COVID-19. However, I had no symptoms but Dr. Levine decided that I should be tested for the virus, which was done on three separate occasions - they were always negative. Furthermore, she took several different kinds of blood tests as well as a chest X-Ray that proved I had pneumonia. In reality, I never had a cough or any symptoms that would indicate I had pneumonia. But the X-Ray revealed that I did. After seven days of antibiotic treatment, I still was listless and not feeling well. I was not myself. A culture was taken for sinus infections several days later with negative results (I have chronic sinusitis, bronchitis and asthma as well as many allergies) followed by a nuclear lung scan to determine if I had blood clots in my lungs - also negative. I remained very weak, no appetite, and lethargic. Following one excruciating night of pain in my ear and pain spanning from one shoulder to the other shoulder, Dr. Levine called me in and more blood tests were taken. She was convinced that I had PMR, polymyalgia rheumatica, an autoimmune disease. A blood test proved her theory. She prescribed steroids and assured me that I would be feeling 'like a million dollars in no time." How right she was! About two hours after taking methylprednisolone, the pain that I experienced vanished and my tiredness dissipated. Nevertheless, she continues to research through an antibody test if indeed I contracted COVID-19. How lucky was I! I know I have a very dedicated, highly intelligent, extremely supportive, and incredibly caring doctor. Never did she waiver - she was available whenever I called, fit me into her schedule for visits and was determined to get me well. I am not sure what lies ahead for me now that I have been diagnosed with this disease but I do know that I will be well-informed and treated by an exceptional doctor. Thank you Felice...you are the BEST!

My mom was a patient of DR Levine's. The experience I have had with her wasn't very disrespectful. She called me back after seeing her patients and stated she had other patients to call and would let me know about my mom and if I had any questions after she was done I could ask then. I know everything she told me about my mom because my daughter had filled me in. I had one question she didn't even give me a chance to ask. I just wanted to know if I needed to come down to Florida earlier than planed do to my her condition. She would have been off the phone a whole lot sooner if I was able to ask that one simple question. And this is a VIP DR. who has less patients to see in a day. my mom paid extra for this care.
She also said to my mom to let her know when she had enough ... and she would order Palliative Care she didn't explain that she could still have been on chemotherapy. My Mom needed Palliative care and so did my family. She suffered more than she needed to, and we had to watch her suffer. Dr Levine had no compassion in her voice which was heard by an nurse at are home while she was on speaker phone. She was also asked to help my mom get some counseling, she was told my mom was so angry and afraid she was snapping at everyone. When my mom said no I"m okay I have my family she did nothing more . We needed help and she went no further to encourage my mom to seek help that this is also tough on your family. My mom had cancer it was a new diagnosis to her, and us. We needed help and her doctor failed her and us.
Please remember being a good Doctor means listening to your patients and there caregiver's. I'm writing this in hopes that no other family has to good though this trouble experience that we did. Patient's on palliative care may live longer than those who are not. It made her so much more comfortable. Her suffering was over .. The Staff was unbelievable the nurses were angels. And when I heard how they would help us my shoulder's actually dropped. Thanks, to Trust bridge Palliative care.

09/30/2017 – Unhappy “Left Out in the Cold” Client

I am sitting here in shock. Just got registered mail from dr Levine informing me she is dropping me. I am 89 yrs old and facing second major eye surgery this coming week in the hopes of saving my vision. To the best of my understanding Dr Levine is dropping me due to a perceived rude tone in my voice when speaking to her staff earlier this week. Understandably I was very upset finding out I needed another eye operation ASAP. I was frantically trying to obtain medical clearance from her office. Subsequently Dr Levine called me in a rage and yelled at me.
I am shocked and appalled that a doctor who holds herself and her practice out as “concierge “ medicine and charges accordingly would behave this way. One would have hoped that both Dr Levine and her staff would be trained to comfort and assure patients facing such medical situations.

I have been a patient of Dr. Levine for approximately seven years. To add insult to injury I am reviewing the records furnished to me this week and have found numerous mistakes as to medications and specialists I am seeing.

In summary I would never recommend Dr. Levine.

Although I have been Dr. Felice Levine’s patient for less than a year, I rank her among the best physicians in my experience. From my first encounter with her, I have found her genuinely interested in my health, appropriately generous with her time, and attentive in follow-ups to her referrals for tests and specialists. I appreciate her personally calling me to inform me of test results and specialists’ findings and recommendations.

I also was greatly relieved that the one time I had a medical issue requiring attention on a Sunday, I got a call back from the MDVIP physician on call within a half hour, with a prescription for that day and an appointment the next morning.

Traveling to California Tuesday, I had a reaction to the medication on Thursday. I called the MDVIP office and received immediate physician attention from the doctor who had seen me on Monday. She not only remembered me but she recalled the nature of my minor skin infection, and suggested that I discontinue the medication after another day. She emphasized that I should call back if the infection came back or if I had any other reaction.

That’s exactly the kind of medical care I sought when I signed up for MDVIP and Dr. Felice Levine. So far, so good.

Excellent diagnostician. Easy to work with. Not an alarmist. In general, I enjoy good health. At the age of 80, I think I'm doing well. I exercise, I am a trained musician which helps keep my mind active and I read a great deal. I think Dr. Levine is doing about as well as possible to keep me in reasonable health. Fortunately my family genes are very good and I hope to have many more years with the proper medical advice I get from Dr. Levine. She is a caring and nice person in addition to being a good doctor.
