My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

I am a board-certified internist, pulmonologist and sleep specialist. My goal is to partner with each patient to manage and anticipate your unique healthcare needs. Together we will develop a personal plan to achieve the optimal health with all value. We will closely collaborate on what it takes to stay on the path to wellness. MDVIP allows me the time to deliver individual care to each patient as their circumstances warrant. It is a privilege to take care of each patient, and everyone in our office will strive to provide you with prompt, individualized attention. I care for patients in the office and the hospital as necessary. If needed, I am available for you 24 hours a day to provide immediate care. I am an associate Professor at George Washington University School of Medicine. My practice serves the West End, Georgetown and greater Washington DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland suburbs. Dr.Gary Miller has been taking care of our family for so long, he is now in the 3rd generation. He has been a fantastic and very caring professional who saw to it that both of my parents lived into their mid-90's. He loves challenges and finding solutions to complicated medical issues. We would not trade him for anything and just to be sure he will always have our backs, I told him I had… See more

Dr. Miller is responsive, pleasant and attentive. He sees impending problems before they become acute. He understands me as a person and my physical issues, which of course are accompanied by emotional concerns as well. I have had a few emergencies when I was for example, out of town and Dr Miller proactively dealt with the difficulties of securing medication for me in another state. I feel… See more

I went to Dr. Miller 40+ years ago for aviation medical exam. I liked him, and realizing I'd never had a personal physician I asked if he'd accept me in that role..He and various specialist referrals have kept me in good shape since. Now 93,and living in a retirement home much farther from his office than when I lived in Washington, I have engaged local specialists but will stay with… See more

I've been seeing Dr. Miller for about 15 years. He takes the time to explain what is going on and is a true professional.

Dr. Miller has been my primary physician for over twenty years. I will have no other. I ask many questions, which he answers with his special touch of aleviating all fears and allowing you the priviledge of being heard. Dr. M still maintains a wonderful, warm, compassionate approach with his patients. His diagnostic skills are top notch. Now, as a very senior citizen, I rely on his… See more

Around 25-30 years ago I went to Dr. Miller for my aviation medical exam. I had no personal physician. My mind said now is the time so I asked Dr. Miller if he'd accept me. He did, and I have been very pleased since. When I received an invitation to a presentation during which he would explain MDVIP, I instead immediately enrolled in that program so I would, hopefully, be one of his 100… See more

When I was 40 I had a near fatal asthma attack. I was at the hospital and the people in charge of my care missed some critical signs. Dr. Miller was monitoring my care at his office when he realized that the data he was receiving did not correlate with the track my asthma attacks followed. He came to the hospital in the middle of his patient day and arrived in time to save my life as I went… See more

I had no personal physician for many years after retiring from the Air Force (1969). When I later resumed flying, as a recreation, I needed an aviation medical exam by an FAA-designated doctor. I located Dr. Miller, a glider pilot, had my first civilian flight exam, and was so impressed that I asked if he would serve as my primary physician. He agreed, and I have since received patient,… See more
