About Gary Misko Jr., MD
My passion as an internal medicine physician is to provide you with personalized healthcare with an emphasis on prevention and wellness. In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, you can be treated as if you are a member of my family in a warm and welcoming atmosphere in which I can share my education, experience and compassion. I have more time to spend with my patients to listen to their concerns. I strive to provide not only care but also support and guidance that helps patients feel empowered to take control of their health and pursue living their best lives.
My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. As a physician, I believe that the most important aspect of healthcare is the relationship I build with my patients. I prioritize putting each patient first, taking the time to listen to their needs, concerns and goals. I am committed to providing personalized, attentive care that extends beyond the office visit. I work to follow up on my patients’ well-being, helping make sure they have information they may want.
Having lived, trained and practiced in Middlesex County, N.J., my entire life, I have a unique perspective on my patients’ healthcare needs. With 25 years of practicing in the community, I have relationships with many specialists. I have interests in cardiovascular health, diabetes, hypertension, anti-aging and longevity medicine. I believe that a strong, trusting relationship is the foundation of individualized healthcare, and I am dedicated to being an advocate for my patients.
I see patients from all over central New Jersey and beyond, including Metuchen, Edison, Piscataway and South Plainfield. I have privileges at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, and I work with the physicians at HMH JFK University Medical Center in Edison.

Reviews from the web
Also, I notice several of the reviews are form the same lady. Fake reviews and unprofessional staff… but a good doctor.
A few weeks ago, I had a small comedone that turned into cellulitis on my nose. (Basically a zit with a Trump-level ego staged a military coup on my face.) I have no insurance, and I knew that there was a 50% chance that if I didn't go to see a doctor, I could end up in the hospital with this one. They were gracious enough to fit me in, and the nurse practitioner who was covering for the doctor that day agreed that what I needed was two specific antibiotics used to treat this kind of infection. They were very understanding about the fact that I didn't have insurance. I actually think I got much better care because of that.
Since I was paying for a visit, I also discussed a few other concerns. She suggested I come back for bloodwork when the infection had cleared up. Today, I had my bloodwork done in office. I've given blood many times in my life, by many different professionals of varying skill levels, but their phlebotomist (blood drawing technician) definitely has a talent for drawing blood quickly and painlessly. If you're needle-shy, consider getting your bloodwork done here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
