About Geoffrey A. Mire, MD, CMD
My goal is to provide individualized patient focused care in a non-judgmental atmosphere. The foundation to your wellness is based on spending time performing an in-depth interview to learn about your medical history. I will also get to know you by listening to your concerns and goals in life. I am a strong advocate of patient choice and will work to empower my patients to be engaged in their own health care. In many cases, lifestyle changes can be utilized to minimize or eliminate prescription medications. I attempt to lead by example by remaining physically active and following a healthy diet.
I provide a wide spectrum of family medicine care including geriatric care, preventive medicine, minor procedures, sports medicine, general adult medicine as well as common pediatric conditions. I admit my patients to Lafayette General Hospital, round at local nursing homes and perform house calls when necessary.

Dr. Mire sent me and my wife for a lung CT Scan. My results showed a nodule in one lung. I had a lung biopsy on October 25th at hospital. Dr.Mire has been our family doctor for many years. He will even answer his own phone on the weekends. Yearly Wellness exams are thorough as well as the explanation of results. Dr. Mire really does care for his patients physically and mentally, not treated like a number.

I called this office to make an appointment for a patient, the website says they accept Medicaid/Medicare. I was advised they do not accept Medicaid. Please remove this from your website if you do not accept the mentioned insurances.

Dr Mire is a this best doctor I have ever had. He truly cares about your heath and wellness. Every time I go in for an appointment I feel like he sets aside the whole day just for me. There is no rushing, no interruptions, and no calls. He is extremely respectful, responsive, and knowledgeable of my current conditions. The staff is very friendly and take the time to explain everything. It is satisfying to have a doctor that truly cares and spends time with his patients.

Dr Mire is the BEST. His compassion and his dedication to his profession are to be admired. I have been going to Dr Mire for about 15 years. In this time frame, I have experienced nothing but the best care. Now that I am a member of MDVIP, I can text him and his response time is always consistently and immediately returned. He has coached me on nutrition and self-care. He has helped me at one of my lowest point of my life and he pulled me through with counseling and empathy. I literally owe my life to this man.

I am very happy with Dr. Mire and his staff. Also am happy with MDVIP for their part of my experience. The main reason for my joining MDVIP and sticking with them is the peace it gives me in my retirement years of knowing I have a good doctor just a phone call away who will take care of my problem. Also it is nice to go to his office and not have to wait forever! He explains everything in language that I can understand and answers my questions well....no rushing. I am a person not an appointment!

My experience with doctor Jeffrey Mire has been impeccable. I have been seeing him for many many years and became a member of MD VIP last year and was very impressed with all of the extensive testing. He is very personal and extremely Concerned about my health and wellness and has explained in detail anything I could do to improve how I feel on a daily basis. I have extreme anxiety and chronic pain and he has been there every step of the way. Very informative about all testing results and went into great detail about preventative health care. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a very sweet knowledgeable professional physician. I can contact doctor Mire any time of the day or night and he will always return my call. The MD VIP service has been wonderful knowing that I'm getting the best medical care possible makes my life alot easier. I would recommend doctor Mire to anyone living in and around the Lafayette Louisiana area. He is truly second to none. In my opinion hes the best doctor in and around Lafayette, La.

Dr. Mire and the MDVIP concept is the best decision I’ve made for myself and my health. He and his staff are awesome to deal with because they are always friendly and happy to help. My emails and any requests I have are promptly taken care of and they always keep me updated. Despite being a 100% combat disabled veteran, I have left the VA Healthcare system because it was virtually impossible to speak to my doctor in between visits and equally as hard if I had any problems or mediacation issues. The MDVIP membership fees are a small price to pay for the easy access and great care Dr Mire and his staff provide me.

I have to say this doctor took really good care of my grandmother. He has great bed side manners and listens well to the person talking. He understands you know your body better than anyone. I am trying to get in with him because he is wonderful. For years my grandmother went to him and my grandmother didn't just trust any doctor but she loved dr. Mire. Don't listen to anyone that speaks bad about him. I can say from experience what kind of doctor he is. I always look for doctors that will listen to you and keep in mind what you are feeling. I strongly recommend Dr Mire to anyone that can get in with him

Dr. Mire is an excellent doctor he is becoming a member of MDVIP to better serve his patients, if you ask him he can give an explanation about the program. I have been with Dr. Mire since 2005 when I needed a surgeon in 2007 I was still new to Lafayette Dr. Mire chose Dr. Muldowny to performed a very dangerous surgery. When I walked out the hospital the next day my family's mouth dropped I could hold my head up and the pain was gone. In 2008 Dr. Mire pick another surgeon for me, he knocked it out the park again after he referred me to Dr. Gachassin, he has performed 3 surgeries on me. I highly recommend all 3 doctors. Yes I am joining the MDVIP practice to serve my family's health care needs.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
