About Gerald Weisfogel, MD, FACC, FAASM
I am a board-certified internist with additional board certifications in cardiology, nuclear cardiology and sleep medicine. With years of experience, I specialize in treating patients with complicated medical histories and health challenges. I pride myself on listening carefully and finding the right balance between paying attention to detail and looking at the big picture when diagnosing and devising an appropriate health plan. I am well respected as a diagnostician by medical colleagues and members of my community, and am often called upon to consult on difficult cases; those that require more than a one size fits all approach to medicine.
Wellness is a way of life. I strive to support my patients and their families to effectively treat their current healthcare issues and to be an advocate for preventive healthcare as well. I treat each patient as an individual with his or her own unique concerns and needs.
Please call my office today to schedule a meeting; I look forward to meeting with you.

Reviews from the web
He is not only a brilliant physician but also a kind and caring human being that makes himself available 24/7 whenever needed.
I'm now 88 years old, in good health, and still enjoy an active life. I even go on extended international tours regularly. I am convinced that next to God, I must thank Jerry, my SUPER doctor for this good fortune and for the quality of my life to date.
I strongly believe the doctor must be either exceeding the number of patients or continues to practice cardiology which distracts from the time he’s supposed to dedicate to PCP care. I don’t know if that’s the issue BUT I don’t think I ever spent more than a few minutes with the doctor during my year in the MDVIP program. And during his time with me, most of it was BOTH the nurse and doctor staring and typing into a laptop. Rarely any eye contact whatsoever.
I don’t believe the doctor ever made any attempt at all to know me as a patient. I felt like a number when dealing with him and the staff. Poor bedside manner by all involved and makes me feel uncared for and ignored.
It has been over 3 years now and I have had NO problems since receiving 5 stents during the catherization.
Dr Weisfogel has been monitoring me since and is taking good care of me.
If you want to be in the best hands to keep you healthy, Dr Weisfogel is the man to see!
Oh, I didn't even mention his friendly and reassuring bedside manner and great staff!
Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
