Finally, A doctor who listens, returns calls, and doesn't seem to follow the 5-minute exam rule of medicine.
Feels more like medicine of 50+ years ago, before it was all about profit margins.

I'm leaving this review for my 94 year old father, and as Dr. Bernick is his primary care doctor, we are very pleased and feel fortunate to have him caring for my father. He is a genuinely caring, compassionate doctor and those qualities show through with his 'bedside manner'/relationship with his patients. He is also very thorough with his treatment and always follows through to make sure your problem is resolved. If he is taking on new patients, I highly recommend him - you would be fortunate to have him caring for you too.

This is horrible as soon as you call to make an appointment first they hang up the phone to me 3 times, then the 4 time another lady come to the phone and mentioned that they can't hear me talking ok ,that can be posible, but when I ask about make an appointment to this doctor that is in my network they ask you if you are part of the Club that have to pay a membership every year beside the payments that you make and the payments they receive through insurance you have to pay membership every year (that some doctors charge close to 2000 dollar every year) this is about money we as human are not important to this "doctors "if you wanted to be seeing by this doctor you need to be part and club member
Where has humanity come that even for health care you have to become part of a money negotiation and a club and pay extra so that they can take care of you and attend to you in some way. Even if you have health insurance it is no longer enough, One day we will be in front of the Throne of God to answer for everything.

Dr. Bernick is very considerate and compassionate. He is always available and we can get into to see him on the same day many times. But best, he takes the time to understand the problem and attempts to explain as much as he can about the problem. I have very much enjoyed knowing Dr. Bernick for many years and am very satisfied.

With his new style of practice there is no waiting in line. True, it costs extra but still worth it.

Dr. Bernick and his entire staff are great. The extra attention your receive and the one-on-one time you spend with the doctor are well worth any extra costs.

Dr Bernick is an awesome doctor! You can tell he really cares about his patients. He switched to a new concierge type practice(MDVIP), which I wasn't too sure about, but I don't have to sit in a crowded waiting room, the staff knows me by name when I walk in, I'm seen really quickly and when I'm sick after hours or on the weekend, I can call and actually talk to him on his personal cell phone. They showed me that my time is just as valuable as theirs.

My device would not let me change to 5 stars. I am totally satisfied with Dr. Bernick. In fact I am considering asking him to be my family physician instead of my dictor, whom he was on call for. He is very compassionate, caring, and very thorough. He is skeptical about discharging to soon after a procedure or labs, he wants to make sure he doesn't send you home to early only to have to return later. He is a very down to earth family man. You will be one hundred percent satisfied with Dr. Bernick.

Frequently Asked Questions

Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
