About James W. Greene, MD, FAAFP
I believe that a family physician’s knowledge, experience, insight and technical ability should come together when evaluating and helping to treat patients. My goal is to help my patients pursue optimal health through wellness and prevention plans based on their needs and goals. To me, the key is forming personalized partnerships by sincerely caring, listening, educating and advocating for my patients.
My family medicine practice allows me to share my passion for prevention, men’s and women’s health, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, thyroid disease and gastrointestinal health.
My MDVIP-affiliated practice, often compared to a concierge medicine practice, offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments. My office is nestled near the Georgia coast on the mainland city of Brunswick, Georgia, situated midway between Savannah and Jacksonville, Florida. My practice also serves many southeast Georgia locations, such as Jekyll Island, Saint Simons Island, Sea Island, Waycross, Darien, Jesup, Midway, Savannah and Kingsland, to name a few.

ON November 17,2023 experienced severe heart attack and two strokes. At the age of 92 it is a wonder I came throudh. Dr. Greene followed my progress with great care and concern. It was such a wonderful surprise to have him visit me while in the hospital. Reminded me of long time ago when doctors delivered your baby, took care of them , came to the home and was considered close as family.. Not really possible today but same kind of dedication to his patients. Thank you Dr. Greene.

I knew Dr James Greene professionally prior to becoming his patient. I am a retired RN and cared for a number of his patients in past years at our local hospital. Dr. Greene saved my life this 2023 year. I had a very high blood pressure reading and i went to my cardiologist office for some one
to take a quick blood pressure on me. They said they didnt have the time. I went immediately to Dr. Greenes office his staff took my blood pressure( Mike) he made me lie down and do deep breathing exercises and tried to relax me. Dr. GREEN CAME IN THE ROOM ADJUSTED MY BP MEDICINE and over the next two months I had a normal blood pressure reading. I visit Dr. Green at least once a month.
Dr. Greens staff(nurses) Viki and Glenda are excellent with ones care the best nurses, and have such patience.
Alicia the receptionist, has the most soothing manner and makes sure you don't miss the next appointment.
All in All this is what a medical experience should be.

Dr Greene has given me another level of care, diagnosing a condition that addressed multiple symptoms successfully. He is consistently responsive to questions and concerns and very easy to access. Besides, he seems like a solid, good human being. I like his practice.

I'm so impressed with Dr. Greene and his staff! I never have to wait at my appointment time and he has takes all the time I need to talk with me and answer questions I may have. Dr. Greene has done extensive blood work and has discovered some issues that we can, hopefully, get under control. Had I not seen him when I did for preventive care, I could have had a stroke or heart attack without knowing I was at imminent risk. Thankful to be his patient and would recommend him for others.

I have been seeing Dr. Greene since 1993 and i think he's a good doctor. He has a strong Christian faith which I think is his biggest asset. He listens before starting a treatment. Always willing to explain all options before preceding with treatment. Since he joined MDVIP, he has become more available. I can text him and will answer right back. I consider him my friend.

My experience with Dr. Greene has been very rewarding and essential to my life. I live on Saint Simons Island, Georgia. Two years ago hurricane Matthew struck our Island. We were forced to evacuate. I had a significant medical issue and called the doctor at 4:00 A.M. Even though he was dealing with the storm himself he advised me on what to do promptly. He arranged for me to see an MDVIP doctor in the city I was in first thing in the morning. Due to his immediate action I recovered quickly and completely. Simply put he is the best!

my wife has been a loyal patient of Dr. Greene for over 13 years and joined his MDvip practice paying his concierge fee. This past year, since he moved in with Dr. Bowen on SSI, the treatment has been horrible. If Alicia is not there , the phone is not answered. There is no nurse. You pay a fee to see Dr. Greene and he does not have time to see you. wife was ignored, misdiagnosed and mistreated by a man she trusted which ended her up in Florida under the care of a Dr. who is treating her for neurological issues and vision problems which Dr.Greene said was in her head. My wife is clinical social worker and was ignored. Stay away . Go to another Dr.
