Dr. Janna Massar saved my life. Three years ago I felt a hard growth near my pubic bone and contacted Dr. Massar. She saw me immediately and after the exam sat me down and we talked. She then picked up the phone and called UTSW oncology. Within two weeks, I was seen by Dr. Lea, who ordered test after tests. The conclusion was that I had advanced cancer with a tumor the size of a plumb. Fortunately, the cancer had not metastasized. Dr. Massar followed my progress through the UTSW portal and checked on me throughout my radiation and chemotherapy. Dr. Massar cares about her patients and their welfare, and you can always count on her to respond to your questions no matter how trivial they may be. I must also commend her staff. They are terrific and a reflection of Dr. Massar's demeanor.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

Dr. Janna Massar is the most thorough and attentive doctor I have ever met. She is accessible on a moments notice and clearly spends time getting to know her patients as both customers and on a deep level.
