John F. Bangston Jr., MD

Dr. Bangston has been my personal doctor now for many, many years. He is always willing to help me with appointment times to meet my schedule as I own and run our family business on a daily basic by myself. He is also available by phone and text. He caught my prostate cancer early and recommended a great doctor for me to take care of that issue. I have a great relationship with Dr. Bangston and his wife. They both are always willing to help me. I am so grateful to him for his wonderful care and how always explains things where I can understand them. I would always recommend Dr John Bangston to anyone. 

He is always willingly there for me no matter what I need. And always supportive with no questions too small for his time and concern! He goes above and beyond what is “his job” and is always free to talk me thru the next step needed! I recently was talking to Dr Bangston on the phone about a medical problem and afterward my husband said to me (he has a different physician) …..“ Do you realize how lucky you are to have a doctor that cares that much about you and your health problems, I would do anything if my doctor gave me even a twentieth of care and concern Dr Bangston’s gives you!”. …..Even though I have many health concerns and several specialist for my needs, I have always trusted him and consulted with him first for any diagnosis’s or medication changes needed. He is the best diagnostician I’ve ever met. ( and I worked for doctors for all 42 years before my retirement) He’s been my doctor for over 25 years and will remain so as long as he’ll put up with me!! My husband is right! I’m very lucky and thankful to have Dr Bangston as my physician!! 

During my husband's illness, hospitalizations and eventual passing, Dr. Bangston was a constant in our journey. He was always available and he didn't wait for me to call him to update him on my husband's condition. He was always checking either through personal visits or calls. He returned my calls promptly, even after office hours. I feel truly blessed to have Dr. Bangston as my physician and I know he brought comfort to my husband.

I have been seeing Dr. Bangston since 2008, beginning mainly to monitor my type 2 diabetes. Dr. Bangston has gone well above and beyond what I expected from a family practitioner doctor. Any time I need to see him on short notice, he (and his assistant) make time for me at my convenience. He sometimes calls me personally to inform me of my lab results or other issues.

Just a few years ago, Dr. Bangston joined the MDVIP group, and he has personally taken the extra time with not only me, but all of his patients, to sit down face to face and go over every single aspect of my health and what I need to do to progress my issues and keep healthy. If it wasn't for him, I would have to see many other specialists and that takes time and a lot of money in co-pays. Dr. Bangston is more than qualified to address most of my health needs and concerns.

Dr. Bangston spends much of his time researching major conditions, such as heart, diabetes, etc. Every time he learns something new, he shares it with me, and I appreciate that very much. His advice has helped me do my best to stay healthy because I do not want to disappoint him when I see him for my next appointment. I consider myself very lucky to be a patient of his, and will not switch doctors for any reason as long as he is in practice.
