Dr. Kim played a crucial role in transforming my life by uncovering previously undiagnosed sensorineural hearing loss. During the annual MDVIP wellness exam, through the in-depth series of tests and screenings, Dr. Kim discovered I might have a hearing deficit. Hearing loss wasn’t anywhere on my radar but after he asked some follow-up questions, he decided to refer me to an audiologist.

It has been about six months since the diagnosis, and I now wear hearing aids. The revelation of this hearing loss came as a surprise to me because I had been unaware of any significant auditory challenges. My experience since and quality of life has increased remarkably. Everyday sounds that were once muffled or missed entirely became clear and vibrant. Communication with friends, family, and colleagues became more effortless and enjoyable. And the biggest help so far has been with school and understanding my struggle with processing delays I have lived most of my life with because of the hearing loss.

Dr. Kim's expertise and commitment to his patient’s well-being uncovered a previously unnoticed diagnosis that I would still be suffering from if he hadn’t taken the time to go above and beyond. He has truly improved my life for the better and I cannot be more thankful to him for that.

Dr. Kim and I go back almost 20 years ! He put me on medications in my 30's that I did not particularly like or really agreed with. The thing is I could not see what Dr. Kim saw. I was showing a pattern of levels elevating over the past 3 years. So what He suggested was I take certain medications for preventative maintenance so to speak. WELL, here I am in my 50's and I am thankful for that because I never got any serious medical issues like I know family members around me have. I'll always thank him for that because that's made a big difference in my health life ! Thank You Dr. Kim

I could actually share a couple of stories, but I'm not allowed that many characters: so, I'll do the best I can. My first encounter with Dr Kim, was me bringing one of our (my employer) residents in for his appointment. I was in awe of Kim; I called my dad and told him; that I had just met the "doctor him" he knows All, about everything, he's so interesting to listen too; I did the same with my employer when I returned that afternoon...I was just mesmerized by his knowledge and bedside manner and I was sold; I changed my primary doc immediately (was Not so thrilled about the extra cost...) The first time I saw Dr. Kim he did testing that I have never had done before and let's just say...I'm over a half century old, so that's saying something. Anywho, the small yet necessary things I appreciate about Kim, is he always responds to my text AND...he appreciates/plays long with my GIF funnies I include, in most of my messages; it's just how I roll, with everyone, and I appreciate that he does the same when responding. Now, for my latest and most helplessness situation Dr Kim assisted with (no, entertaining GIFs in this story unfortunately) was this past month, the day after my ankle surgery. I had broken my ankle on both sides and had plates and screws put in, on both sides of my ankle. The morning after, I woke up in so much pain, I had secretly been crying and enduring this pain for an hour before I yelled for my daughter, Lillee to come help; I just couldn't take it anymore!!! Lillee knew it was bad, because I have a high pain tolerance and I'm not a crier kinda girl. Lillee had tried contacting the orthopedic surgeon's office and they were no help; once they actually called back. After that she text Dr Kim and not only did he respond right away but he asked questions and offered more than one option and things to try in assisting with getting the pain under control and keeping it that way. He also explained to my "scared to get addicted to oxy, weenie self" that if I followed his regimen; I would be fine. To only then days/weeks later, to have contact him again because those useless ortho people couldn't be bothered; Dr Kim came through for me once more!! Me and my family were ever so grateful!! I Can Not express enough, even with all the best GIFs out there, how much I appreciate him.
Wow, 5000 characters is a lot... I was for sure I would run out; sorry for shortening the words, story and just referring to you as Kim, rather than Dr Kim; cause you have certainly earned and deserve that Title every time!!!

We have an excellent relationship with Dr. Kim and have always found him to be very responsive and quick to answer questions or handle problems. In one recent case my autistic son was scheduled to go to the DMV for an early Monday morning appointment and I suddenly realized at 9 PM on Sunday night that a Dr. certification was required to include his communication problems on the actual license. I apologized for bothering him, but went ahead and emailed the form to him that night. Sure enough, it was signed and ready in time the next morning. This is typical of his eagerness to help and resolve problems. My son and I are both MDVIP members.
