About Jonathan S. Lown, MD
As an Internist, I have developed a deep understanding of wellness and long-term healthcare. My approach focuses on helping patients live better and longer lives through both acute and preventive care. I give every patient personal advice and support in a relaxed and unrushed manner. I utilize the latest advancements in medicine and knowledge of the latest discoveries in medical research and wellness screenings to help identify risk for disease and prevent it or treat it early. It is also important to me to foster and promote optimism and good humor, which are also important elements in the healing process and staying well.
I focus on primary care, internal medicine, cardiovascular health, preventive medicine and women’s health. In addition, I am board certified in sleep medicine and am able to treat sleep-related illnesses, such as obstructive sleep apnea and insomnia while providing guidance on CPAP management. By promoting physical and mental well-being and coaching healthier lifestyle choices, I help empower my patients to live the best life possible. I also offer conveniences, like same- or next-day appointments that start on time, which may be found in concierge medicine practices.
My private primary care practice currently serves all of Long Island, New York. My office is conveniently located in Commack, which is easily accessible from Eastern Nassau County and Western Suffolk County. I am affiliated with St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown, New York. I speak fluent English and Spanish.

I am so pleased to be able to share my thoughts about Dr Jonathan Lown, my MDVIP primary care doctor in Commack, NY.
I have been exceptionally pleased with every aspect of Dr Lown's practice, especially of course dealing directly with Dr Lown. Some specifics will be helpful. My prior annual physical exams used to take literally 15-20 minutes and I spent more time in the…
Reviews from the web

I have a busy life and being able to get dedicated, speedy and quality service is truly a game changer.

I arrived tonight for my rescheduled appointment and spied two other people in the waiting room. I asked if he was running on time and I was politely told that he was not. I asked if it was always like this and the receptionist told me it always is, that he is a concierge doctor and spends an hour with his patients. I asked how long my appointment would be and she somewhat timidly told me at least another half an hour. Seeing as he was with a patient and had two others waiting to see him sitting in the waiting room. I surmised that, that would mean that I would have to wait near another two hours to be seen as I was told that he spends an hour with his patients. I told the receptionist that, that was unprofessional, and why would you schedule my appointment for a time if he could never keep it. She informed me that every patient is different and have different needs. Having my own patients I understand that basic concept, however, I also understand that people have busy lives and doctors like this do not actually care about their patients and that the only person in the world whose time is important is the doctor himself.
I left.
Attached are some pictures of the doctors office I took the last time I was there. It was just as filthy today. I've decided not try to see Dr. Krueger in his nightmare sleep clinic, and instead find another doctor who can keep commitments to his patients.

Sincerely cares about his patient's and takes the time to listen!
I would highly recommend him!

I have been under the treatment of Dr Lown for a few months now. He is very patient with my questions and concerns. He shows that he truly cares about my well being. He is very knowledgeable about what he does and about the equipment he recommends. The staff is friendly and I also have seen his otherdoctor on staff. Dr Tom Yarribino who is also just as passionate about helping his patients. If you are in need of sleep as I was desperately seeking than I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO SEE DR.LOWN. THANK YOU AGAIN.

Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
