What our members are saying

Dr Judy Okimura has been my primary in less than a year. Since transferring to her, it has been an incredible journey of recovery. In March 2023, I got released after 5 days in the Emergency Room. Still not getting any better, I was being referred by my then primary doctor who was referring me to other doctors that would prescribe me medication. Finally after cardiologist setup for a stent…

Early in Dr. Judy Okimura's career, when she was at the Queen's Health Clinic in Hawaii Kai, I saw her for a chronic cough, that would come and go, but which
usually lasted for months and months driving me crazy. Prior to this visit, I had seen FOUR different doctors, all of whom offered different explanations, but no solution. One even prescribed a drug called Fenesin along…

Visiting Dr. Judy Okimura is like visiting my auntie. It is a relaxing experience. My pressure actually drops 30% after my visit. She is also very cautious in prescribing medication for my health issues and explains in layman's terms how it helps me.She is also very accessible when I need to text or call her in between and after office hours. She is surely dedicated to her profession.

My reason for 5+stars

She is a meticulous doctor compared to other doctors. She is thorough with all the lab results and wants the patient to participate in the health care plans. She delegates to the patient a task( assignment ) and wants to educate patients on why we need to live a healthy life.

My husband is a physician as well and he also gives her a round of applause for her dedication.  He told me to stay with Dr.Okimura when she
transitioned her practice to MD-VIP(concierge program for preventive medicine and personalized primary-care medicine). A full wellness check is performed twice a year and she has been monitoring my health carefully.

It has been such a pleasure to have a physician-patient relationship for 9 plus years.  I do trust her completely with her assessments and specialist referrals.

Most doctors don't listen to women. I spent years not being listened to by doctors. Dr. Judy listens. I am thrilled to finally have a doctor like her.

Dr Judy Okimura and staff are very attentive and patient. I’m so pleased. I never feel rushed. Dr Okimura is very through explaining and describing everything to me. The annual blood test is so detailed. It’s really impressive getting doctor referral appointments set up by her staff . They all go the extra mile.

My wife and I have been Dr. Okimura's patient for the past four years, and we like her very much. My wife is Japanese, and although she speaks English, it is her second language. As Dr. Okimura is bilingual, my wife has the advantage of being able to speak to her in Japanese. Dr. Okimura is an outstanding doctor. She sincerely cares about her patients and has excellent knowledge and communication skills. She has personally motivated me to change the way I take care of myself and my health has greatly improved during the past few years.

I am so grateful to have found Judy. I have the utmost respect for my previous PCPs, but there is only so much preventive medicine that can be practiced in an 10-15 minute annual doctor's visit. Judy has spent literally hours getting to know my medical history and developing a customized wellness program for me. She is knowledgeable and passionate about her clients' care. People have asked me why I spend $1600 per year extra when I already have comprehensive medical coverage. I respond that the value I receive from Judy and my MDVIP membership far exceeds the value I receive from my $23,000 annual medical insurance premium. To me, an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. Thank you, Judy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
