I have been providing high quality primary care to my patients for 25 years. As a board-certified family physician in western Morris County, I strive to provide a comfortable, caring and sophisticated medical home for my patients. As an MDVIP-affiliated physician, I have the time to get to know my patients very well and am able to delve into past history as well as family history to help my patients develop goals for future health that focus on preventing disease.
 
I have always had a love for preventive medicine. The detailed wellness program offered through MDVIP focuses on prevention and helps me keep you as healthy as possible. In addition to wellness care, I have an interest in diabetes and heart disease prevention and management. In my personalized MDVIP-affiliated healthcare practice, I believe that we are a team and that we should decide on a treatment strategy together. I enjoy teaching and want to empower you with information about healthy choices. Together, we can design an optimal plan for your future. When you join my practice, I will treat you as if you are a member of my own family, supporting you and advocating for you in the medical world.  I am using Telemedicine visits to stay connected with my patients when they are unable to see me in the office.  It is easy to do and we have maintained our momentum with preventive health goals and chronic care during dificult times.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.

Who likes going to the doctor? It was always an uncomfortable experience for me. However, after meeting Dr. Peters and her assistant Wendy my experience changed for the better. The genuine concern, care, and time given by Dr. Peters has guided me to a healthier lifestyle improving my overall physical and mental health.
Although I reside in Florida most of the year, and see various specialists, my summers are spent in New Jersey; I continue to see Dr. Peters for my Wellness exams because I trust and value her expertise and her caring assistant, Wendy. I no longer dread going for my yearly physical exam, because I know Dr. Peters and Wendy are looking out for me. Even when I reside in Florida she is just a phone call away, and she gets back to me immediately with any of my questions or concerns.
I especially like The convenience and thoroughness of many tests being performed at one place and within two days, not only time-saving but more reassuring. Your test result are given to you promptly.

My doc, Dr Karen Peters, was bugging me about high platelets. On her advice I had them checked and it seems she very well have saved me from having a stroke! They were "critical high".
