Kelly K. Phillips, MD

My passion for medicine is deeply founded in a desire to care for the individual as a whole, rather than just illnesses that affect them. When I was an undergraduate at Georgetown University, I focused my studies not only on science courses, but also on courses in doctor-patient communication and cross-cultural communication. I value both the science and the art of medicine. I take time to sincerely listen to my patients and always strive to have them leave the office feeling both cared for and heard. From the nation's capital to North Philadelphia for medical school, I eventually made my way back to Lancaster, Pennsylvania for my residency training. I am fortunate to have trained at Lancaster General Hospital, which has been named the top family medicine residency program in the United States. I am dedicated to being a life-long learner and jump on opportunities to expand my knowledge for the ultimate benefit of my patients. I am a strong proponent of preventive medicine and healthy living and I recently gained a certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition. I am thrilled to continue to practice medicine in my beloved hometown and work alongside my father who has been my greatest role model in medicine.
