Kevin A. Stephens, MD

As a family physician practicing in Austin, Texas for over 23 years, my passion is to provide patients with personalized care and attention with an emphasis on prevention and wellness. My MDVIP­ affiliated practice will be smaller and, therefore, allow me more time to spend with each patient. This affiliation also provides resources for advanced preventive screenings, up to date diagnostic tools and an Annual Wellness Program aiming at preventing illness and maintaining good health. These tools also help to treat and slow progression of current chronic conditions. 

Practicing comprehensive medicine requires time to develop a close relationship between an individual patient and physician. This time is critical for reviewing records, performing comprehensive exams, making a diagnosis, coordinating care with specialists and formulating a plan together to meet your health goals. I also offer conveniences, like same- or next-day appointments that start on time, which may be found in concierge medicine practices. I enjoy educating my patients on their current health issues and partnering with them to formulate an individualized treatment plan. 

As a board-certified family physician, you will benefit from the full extent of my education, expertise, compassion and understanding. I have special interests in cardiovascular disease, diabetes, infectious disease and prevention and community health. I am affiliated with St. David's and Seton Hospitals and serve Austin and its surrounding communities. My personal interests include aviation, travel, hiking, scuba diving and other outdoor activities to keep me active and healthy.
